We operate seniors’ lodges, seniors’ self-contained apartments and subsidized family housing, striving to provide the highest level of service and support in friendly, home-like environments

Celebrating 587 years of wisdom at Mount View Lodge! 💙👏

Today, March 16, 2026, we honoured Frank (97), Ida (97), Raymond (97), David (98), Harriet (98), and last but not least, Louise (100) with a very special birthday celebration. These photos capture only a few of the afternoon’s many meaningful moments, including the annual cake cutting by the guests of honour themselves, and heartfelt remarks and gifts from Town of Olds Mayor Dan Daley! What a fantastic morning at Sundre Seniors’ Supportive Living for our annual “Ice is Right” Floor Curling Bonspiel! 🥌

Eight spirited teams of residents faced off in some incredibly close games, many decided by just 1 or 2 points right down to the final shot! Congratulations to Joe and Barb, winners of the A Event for the second year in a row, and to Teresa and Lee for taking home the Consolation Event win!

We'd also like to share a huge thank-you to our wonderful volunteers and amazing activities staff for organizing and running this fun-filled morning for our residents. Your enthusiasm and hard work make events like this such a success. ❤️

The Olds Grizzlys U11‑A Team stopped by Mount View Lodge this week after practice for a lively game of Mini‑Sticks, and what a game it was! 🏒🥅

Our residents jumped right in, showing off some impressive defence and quick reflexes, while the boys brought the energy, encouragement, and plenty of laughter. The group represented their team and the hockey community beautifully with their kindness, great sportsmanship, and genuine connections.

“What a wonderful group of young gentlemen,” one resident shared. “They were so polite and took the time to teach us the game!” 💙

This weekend, the team heads into the playoffs, playing for the league banner. Join us in cheering them on as they finish their season, and in thanking them for bringing so much joy, activity, and heart into our lodge. 👏🏻🏒

Our residents from Chinook Winds Lodge in Carstairs, and Aspen Ridge Lodge in Didsbury enjoyed a visit from some pretty cute furry friends this week! Thank you to Stacey Hannah for taking the time to bring those sweet pups in for cuddles!

In honour of the Olympic Games, we’re looking back at our first Annual MVSH Lodge Staff Olympics, held last year at Chinook Winds Lodge!

This fun event was created for our staff teams to take part in a series of friendly competitions, all hosted right in the lodge, so our residents could join in the excitement. Events included the bed-making race, mop relay, dessert challenge, and activity challenge, with our residents proudly serving as judges. Medals, awards, and plaques were handed out to celebrate teamwork and creativity.

👉 We had so much fun, we're doing it again! Stay tuned for updates and coverage as we get ready for another great day of lodge Olympic challenges, coming this spring!

While the photo may take us back to sunny days on the golf course, these champions are out there right now braving the winter weather, plowing snow, clearing sidewalks, and keeping our residents safe and comfortable through the cold. ❄️

What a day! Our MVSH Board of Directors, along with our Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Facilities, toured our lodges and senior self-contained buildings across Carstairs, Cremona, Didsbury, Sundre, and Olds.

Seeing firsthand the spaces our residents call home helps guide the important decisions they make for the future. They even found a moment to unwind at Mount View Lodge with a bit of target practice and some well-deserved relaxation! 💙
