My tattoo journey started many years ago when I got my original Pegasus tattoo in Langley when I was 18 years old. I had it for many years, but as I got older and had children, I decided it needed to be covered. I had a vision. I eventually had a larger rose tattoo done to cover that area on the lower back

This piece has been about 10 years in the making, with three different artists working on it along the way. The original rose on the bottom will still need a bit of work as we continue refining the piece.

Due to health issues, I could only handle so much work at a time and often needed to take breaks, as my body simply couldn’t handle long tattoo sessions. Sometimes I had to wait until my body was ready to allow another piece, and that process took years.

Thank you to Olga for finishing the final rose in the corner — the back piece is finally complete. The journey isn’t over yet though, as we will now continue the tattoo down the backside, from part of my hip and butt area and flowing down my leg.
