It’s so simple but nobody told me I had to birth my placenta too! Don’t rush to cut the cord. That’s your baby’s blood still flowing. Let them have what’s theirs. The cord is still pulsing for a reason. That’s your baby transitioning to life earthside. Don’t interrupt nature’s rhythm. ❤️‍🔥

We aren’t born afraid of birth.
We learn to fear it — through stories of pain, trauma, emergency, and danger.
Through movies where women scream. Through generations of mothers who were told they had to be saved from their own bodies. Imagine if your mum and hers before her etc didn’t talk about birth being painful? Imagine if all you knew was that birth felt GREAT!

When we replace fear with trust, our bodies respond differently. When we tap into our inner strength. Our ancestral wisdom and knowledge.
Our hormones flow differently.
Our experience changes completely.

You can unlearn the fear.
By hearing empowered stories.
By learning how your body actually works.
By remembering that birth is not a medical emergency — it’s a powerful, instinctual process your body was designed for.

Fear triggers adrenaline, which slows labour and increases pain. Trust and safety release oxytocin, the hormone that fuels labour and bonding.

You were made for this. Your body knows what to do. Trust her.
Fear was taught. Trust can be re-learned.

You’ve probably been told that once your water breaks, you’re on the clock — but that’s not entirely true.
The 24-hour rule is an outdated hospital policy, not a biological deadline.

Your body doesn’t suddenly become unsafe after a day.
Infection risk only rises with repeated cervical checks, not time alone.

Evidence shows that when moms are left undisturbed, their bodies often continue labor naturally and safely — sometimes well past that 24-hour mark. Research is now showing that the more cervical checks, the higher the risk of infection due to increased touching.

When your body is stressed everything tightens. This is the exact opposite of what a body in labour needs. Things need to be loose to help the baby work its way down.

Trust your body. Trust the process.

Talk to your healthcare team about what the plan will be if your water does happen to break. And remember, you can always ask questions- what if I wait? What if I do nothing etc.

When rolling over in bed requires a 3–step strategy 😂 Am I right or am I right?!

I’m out of the pregnancy stage but where all the third tri mommas?!?

How you feeling?!? 👇🏻

Ps: my baby came one week after this pic was taken. Third tri to the max!

They told you your baby is “too big for your body”.
That’s one of the most common lies pregnant women are told. Tell me, were you told this?!!

This drives me bananas for so many reasons.

❌ It breaks your trust in your body.
❌ It instills fear instantly.
❌ It’s usually based on ultrasound “guesses” that are not 100% accurate — and often wrong.

💡 The truth: your body was designed to birth the baby it creates. Your pelvis, your hormones, and your baby work together perfectly. Often women who are diagnosed with GD are told their babies will be too big and are often coerced into induction.

Most of the time it’s first time moms who are fed this and hey, as a first time mom, you’ve never walked this road, you have literally zero experience, you’re just doing what you think is best for your baby. Who wouldn’t?

But the truth is you shouldn’t have been fed that to begin with unless there was absolute, concrete evidence that your baby was in fact too big. But there isn’t.

This fear based approach encourages mothers to have fear about their birth and lose confidence in their bodies. And that I am not down with.

You are not broken. You are not too small.
✨ You were made for this.

Which ones have you heard⁉️ This is where the power of being CONFIDENT in your birth comes in handy.

You’ll know how:
•to read the room,
•how to speak up confidently
•when to ask questions and what questions to ask and
•when you need to advocate for yourself (or your partner advocate for you).

Being confident at your birth will improve your chances of sticking to your birth plan and avoiding unnecessary interventions.

Tell me which ones you’ve heard, did I miss any?!

Ultrasounds: how many is too much? Although deemed safe, still energy and still not 100% guaranteed safe. And we know they are disrupting the natural growth process in pregnancy. Often when we are constantly checking in we moving further and further away from our own trust in our bodies.

Not to mention they can be a cash grab. Every scan is billed out between $60-$130 per scan depending on the scan! Now imagine if you had 3+ scans in your pregnancy, how much they’re making off you and your baby?

Plus after the scan that’s another follow up and another swipe of your health card 💲💲

I’m not saying they aren’t necessary sometimes, but how much is too much and are we being taken advantage of through fear for the system to make more money off our babies? 🧐

The truth: More scans don’t always improve outcomes in healthy pregnancies. What they can affect is your stress, your trust, and your connection with your body.

✨ Tests should serve you — not the other way around.
