I recently participated in StatCan’s study on life-limiting illnesses and would like to share the highlighted results with you. Studies like this are important to recognizing the ongoing care needs in our communities, so that help becomes available for those who require it. Every day there are people on hospice waiting lists, hoping a bed becomes available in time for comfortable end-of-life care, hoping the end of their journey won't be in a hospital, in pain or with multiple health care providers at the bedside. Hoping to be surrounded by family, pets and other personal comforts.
