It’s a big day! We are celebrating some milestones in our office space at the Lord Dufferin Centre! Today from 3-6, you are invited to celebrate Debbie (My Kid’s OT) 25 years in private practice and my 10 years! (We have both worked much longer than that, but 🤫). Debbie is also welcoming a new OT, Olivia, to her team. There will be be food! And parking passes!

As for other news: Tylenol does not cause Autism, vaccines do not cause Autism…

I am ALL IN when it comes to gestalt language processing and Natural Language Acquisition. Recently, there has been a surge of researchers, desperately scrambling to say it’s a crock. I’d post a whole lot of science-y science, but I think Rachel Dorsey wins the day with this one! Happy Holidays, everyone!

I’ve recently discovered Toren and his lovely Mom; and his words really resonated with me today. He speaks so beautifully about connecting meaningfully with others, paying attention to the world around him, understanding his feelings and those of others; and maintaining friendships.

As a therapist who practices in a child-led, play-based, developmental way, Toren’s personal reflections remind me that my path is the right fit for me. ❤️

I AM EXCITED ABOUT THIS, TOO!!! My friend and colleague, Stacey Baskind, from Kids Connecting https://kidsconnecting.ca/ is somewhat of a therapeutic unicorn, and has blown me away - once again - with her new service offering. Her fabulous team now includes Academic Tutoring BY an Ontario Certified Teacher, with special interest in working with neurodiverse populations, SUPERVISED BY a BCBA. This means that you can use your OAP funding for tutoring, parents and supporters of school-age children. This is big. This is needed. ❤️
