Physio Sport Plus We are a fully bilingual physiotherapy and sport medicine center that offers active and up to date treatment based on research to all our active clients.

We want to make sure our clients return to their active pain free lifestyle. Three of our seven physiotherapists have more than 20 years of experience to adresse your injuries or pains. We also have on site a pedorthist that does a great foot function assessment and orthotics fitting if needed. Cindie also does custom bracing. We sell on site a variety of braces, compression socks, McKenzie supports for the back and also extra orthopaedic supplies. Our massage therapists are here to help you return to your daily activities.

5 Ways to Improve Fuelling Around Exercise

Hydration is important to ensure overall health and well-being, sport performance and bowel movement regularity. Simply put, Rebekah recommends you hydrate regularly before, during and after exercise. Many individuals can aim for a starting point of 1.5-2L daily, adjusting based on your activity level, heat, humidity, and sweat rate.

Eating before exercise can help provide a little boost in energy. Choose easy to digest, simple carbohydrates in the 30-60 minutes prior to exercise.

If exercising for a long period of time (e.g long run for marathon training), take in 30-60g of carbohydrates every hour of exercise. Depending on your performance goals and tolerance, some folks can aim even higher. Sport gels or energy chews, carbohydrate drinks, fruit gummies, candy, or even honey/maple syrup can work well.

After a workout, recover properly by taking in a meal or snack within an hour of finishing your workout. This should include carbs, protein and fluids.

Don't forget about fruits and vegetables - these are your source of fiber & antioxidants that help with recovery, gut health and immune function.

Braces can be a helpful support tool if you have a history of injury, feel unstable on the slopes, or are returning to sport. They can improve joint stability and confidence — but they’re NOT a replacement for strength, balance, and proper technique.

The right brace depends on:

✔ Your sport (ski vs snowboard)
✔ Your comfort and movement needs
