💗 Self-Love Isn’t a Luxury — It’s Your Foundation

Self-love isn’t about bubble baths or spa days (though those are lovely).
It’s about the quiet, intentional choices you make every day to honor your energy, your boundaries, your heart, and your well-being.

It’s choosing to treat yourself with the same compassion you give everyone else.
It’s listening to your body instead of pushing past your limits.
It’s saying yes to what aligns and no to what drains you.
It’s catching the self-criticism and replacing it with truth.
It’s remembering that you matter not just as a mom, a leader, or a partner but as a woman.

As a busy, high-achieving mom self-love is your anchor.
It softens the burnout cycles, strengthens your confidence, and brings you back to yourself when life feels overwhelming.

You don’t have to earn rest.

🍂 No Booze November – 3-Week Check-In! 🍂

Wow, three weeks of no booze! 👏 This is a huge win and absolutely deserves a pat on the back.

Let’s talk cravings. When we remove alcohol, our bodies sometimes crave something else to fill the gap and it's usually sugar. Alcohol is a sneaky source of sugar, especially in evening nightcaps or a glass of wine with dinner.

My advice? Give yourself grace. Treat yourself to a small indulgence like a scoop of ice cream or a square of chocolate to curb the early cravings. Once you feel more in control (this is usually around week 3), try satisfying your sweet tooth with fruit instead. 🍓

Here are 7 ways to keep your blood sugar balanced as we finish strong:

1️⃣ Check your beverages – Avoid replacing alcohol with sugary drinks like Frappuccinos or juice. Keep your sugar intake in check.
2️⃣ Choose natural sweetness – Veggies, fruit, and warming spices can help curb cravings.
3️⃣ Prioritize sleep – Quality rest reduces the urge to reach for caffeine and sugar.
4️⃣ Protein is key – Make sure you’re eating enough. If you weigh 150 lbs, aim for roughly 130–150g per day.
5️⃣ Don’t go low-fat – Healthy fats fuel your body and help balance blood sugar. Avoid chemically processed “fat-free” foods.
6️⃣ Move your body – At least 30 minutes a day keeps energy and mood stable.
7️⃣ Create a post-meal ritual – Take a walk, make a cup of tea, or occupy your mind in some way to prevent cravings from taking over.
