Once your child has teeth they are susceptible to tooth decay.
Here are some dental care tips to protect your child’s oral health from the very beginning!
-Before the first tooth erupts clean your baby’s gums by wiping gently with a clean, damp cloth after feeding
-Once the first tooth emerges, start brushing twice a day using a soft-bristled infant toothbrush and a tiny smear toothpaste
-Avoid letting your baby fall asleep with a bottle of milk, formula, or juice as the sugars in these liquids can cause tooth decay
-Schedule your child’s first dental appointment within six months of the first tooth erupting or by their first birthday, whichever come first
Early dental visits help catch problems early and guide you on oral care routines.
