Transgender Awareness Week is a week when transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention to the trans community by educating the public about who transgender people are, sharing stories and experiences, and advancing advocacy around issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community.

At a time when transgender people have become targets of extreme political discrimination and violence, it’s imperative that anyone who is interested in and invested in protecting a free society learn the facts about who trans people are, become educated about the realities trans people face, and understand that our collective equality is connected to the safety and freedom of people who are transgender.

"Based on the most recent estimates from 2022, approximately 65,270 people in Canada were living with HIV and 89% were aware of their status.

To achieve the 2025 global targets of 95% diagnosis, more needs to be done to reduce stigma and ensure equitable access to testing and care."

In Canada, an estimated 95% of people on HIV treatment had a suppressed viral load in 2022, meaning they can't pass it on to a sexual partner.

We're incredibly excited to be working alongside the phenomenal staff at HealRx Medical Clinic and Pharmacy to offer this sexual health drop in session every Monday from 12pm-4pm at Heal RX Pharmacy, Pickering. You can talk about any topics around Q***r sexual health and well-being as well as access on site professional medical support for all PrEP/PEP and STI prevention information.
