People often resist making changes because they are scared that they will fail so they keep putting it off.

Chicken Pot Pie
Serves 4

1/4 pie = 1 protein, 2 starch, 1 fat, 1 veg, 1 condiment

Ingredients:

1 Deep Dish pie shell
160g Alfa puff Pastry (60 calories, 8g carbs, 100mg sodium per 20g)
11.2 oz cooked chicken breast
2 cups peas/corn/carrots
1 cup light Alfredo sauce (less than 50 calories, 400mg sodium per 1/4 cup)
Suggested seasoning: garlic, black pepper to preference.

Directions:

Combine chicken, veggies, and alfredo sauce in a large bowl and mix evenly. Add garlic and black pepper or preferred salt-free seasoning. Transfer filling to deep dish pie shell. Carefully remove puffy pastry from package and weigh 160g portion. Roll it into a ball and then use wooden rolling pin to flatten it into a circle. Place puff pastry over filling. Press edges together to seal. Cut slits in top pastry. Bake at 400F for 40 minutes or until crust is browned to preference. Tip: Cover edge of crust with tin foil strips after first 15-20 min. Divide into 4 equal portions and enjoy.

Did you overestimate how many trick-or-treaters you would receive this year?
Do you feel like you are now drowning in Halloween treats?
Here are some ideas on what you can do with all that leftover candy so that you can get back on track with your healthy efforts:
Hide it! Tuck it out of sight (store in basement or garage etc) or freeze it to reduce impulse or mindless snacking.
Donate it! Local shelters will happily accept your unwanted candy. Some options to consider are purse campaigns, Christmas shoebox campaigns, or school lunch programs.
Re-Home it! Put together care packages that you can deliver to friends and family or distribute to the homeless.
Bake it! You can substitute Halloween candy for chocolate chips in many baking recipes and then freeze for holiday gifts.
