Getting back on the mat after not doing yoga for awhile. It feels so good to be stretching again. Setting new goals and being disciplined on the mat again feels good.
Why did I step away from doing yoga?
It’s been a wild last three years. Leaving Ecuador, my brother passing away. Rekindling a new relationship and building a business and living life. You may be asking but why would you not make time for yoga and reiki. LIFE, life got in the way and grief. That’s no excuse and I know that.
I will put it simple. I honestly did not feel like getting on the mat because that would also mean that I may have feelings coming up that I was not ready for after loosing my brother. Those feeling are still there. So do not get me wrong, but I’m now able to cope and deal with those feelings that may come up for me.
Some may ask why would that happen in the mat.
When I’m in my mat it’s ME TIME and sometimes with me, my feelings arise when I’m on the mat. I was just not ready for that.
Today felt great, it felt like home, I felt stronger and it really felt great to stretch and meditate.
