Healing doesn’t always feel soft or peaceful. Sometimes it shows up as guilt, exhaustion, irritability, or emotions you thought you’d already moved past.

If this carousel felt familiar, take it as a gentle reminder: you’re not doing it wrong, you’re growing in ways your mind and body are still learning to understand.

Progress often feels uncomfortable before it feels empowering.

Keep going.

We dreamed of a space that felt warm, grounding, and lived-in from the moment you step inside and it took some vision, but watching it finally come together has been such a joy.

With this new office, we’re able to open up more in-person availability and welcome more of you into a space that feels calm, comforting, and connected. We can’t wait to have you here.

Therapy is an active process, it’s about showing up, reflecting, and making space for growth. Every session is a step toward understanding yourself better and building the tools to navigate life with more clarity and compassion. 🌿

Whether you’re working through something specific or simply want to better understand your patterns and emotions, therapy offers a space to do the work for yourself, and at your own pace.

Small acts of self-kindness can rewire your brain for calm, confidence, and connection.
When you choose compassion over criticism, your nervous system relaxes, your motivation becomes more sustainable, and your overall well-being improves.

Self-compassion isn’t about ignoring your mistakes, it’s about giving yourself permission to grow through them with patience and care.

The research is clear: treating yourself kindly changes everything from how you handle stress to how you connect with others. 💛

The shorter days can take a toll on how we feel, our November Mood Tracker is here to help you slow down, notice the shifts, and care for your wellbeing along the way.

Taking a few minutes each day to check in with your mood can make it easier to recognize patterns, understand what supports you, and gently prevent the winter slump before it settles in. It’s a small practice that can bring more awareness, balance, and steadiness through the grey.

🌧️ Comment "Grey" and will send you the free resource!

We did it! 🥂

Our new office is officially open!!! And we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. This space represents so much growth, collaboration, and heart.

From our very first office to this new home, every step of the journey has been shaped by the people, clients and team, who’ve trusted, shared, and grown with us.

Here’s to a new chapter filled with meaningful conversations, connection, and care. 💛

This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded of how powerful gratitude can be, not only for what we have, but for how far we’ve come. We’re deeply thankful for our clients who show up with courage and honesty, our team who brings compassion and care to every session, and our community that continues to grow with us. May this season be a gentle reminder to slow down, connect, and appreciate the small moments that bring meaning and peace.” 🧡🍂

This time of year, food guilt gets wrapped in tradition but that doesn’t make it any less toxic.

When we label foods as “good” or “bad,” we’re reinforcing one of the deepest roots of body shame: the idea that our worth depends on how we control ourselves.

Comments like “I’m being bad” or “I’ll work this off tomorrow” might sound casual, but they communicate fear, fear of losing control, fear of judgment, fear of taking up space. And that fear spreads, especially to kids and teens listening quietly at the table.

Healing your relationship with food means unlearning that morality. It means reclaiming meals as nourishment, connection, and comfort, not tests of discipline.

So this Thanksgiving, I hope you taste everything you love without apology. Because peace around food isn’t about what’s on your plate it’s about finally feeling safe in your own body.

🧡 Save this for a reminder before your next holiday dinner.

🎃 Why do we love getting scared? Every October, haunted houses, horror films, and eerie pumpkin patches captivate us—but fear isn’t just for fun. As a psychologist, I see our fascination with spooky things as more than seasonal entertainment. Research shows that enjoying a little fright can help us manage stress, build resilience, and even strengthen social connections.

Curious about the science behind our love of the spooky? Read more in our latest blog post:

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never made it home. 🧡 This day is a reminder to listen, learn, and reflect on the truths of our history while committing to building a more compassionate and just future. Every Child Matters.
