Small acts of self-kindness can rewire your brain for calm, confidence, and connection.
When you choose compassion over criticism, your nervous system relaxes, your motivation becomes more sustainable, and your overall well-being improves.

Self-compassion isn’t about ignoring your mistakes, it’s about giving yourself permission to grow through them with patience and care.

The research is clear: treating yourself kindly changes everything from how you handle stress to how you connect with others. 💛

The shorter days can take a toll on how we feel, our November Mood Tracker is here to help you slow down, notice the shifts, and care for your wellbeing along the way.

Taking a few minutes each day to check in with your mood can make it easier to recognize patterns, understand what supports you, and gently prevent the winter slump before it settles in. It’s a small practice that can bring more awareness, balance, and steadiness through the grey.

We did it! 🥂

Our new office is officially open!!! And we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. This space represents so much growth, collaboration, and heart.

From our very first office to this new home, every step of the journey has been shaped by the people, clients and team, who’ve trusted, shared, and grown with us.

Here’s to a new chapter filled with meaningful conversations, connection, and care. 💛

This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded of how powerful gratitude can be, not only for what we have, but for how far we’ve come. We’re deeply thankful for our clients who show up with courage and honesty, our team who brings compassion and care to every session, and our community that continues to grow with us. May this season be a gentle reminder to slow down, connect, and appreciate the small moments that bring meaning and peace.” 🧡🍂

🎃 Why do we love getting scared? Every October, haunted houses, horror films, and eerie pumpkin patches captivate us—but fear isn’t just for fun. As a psychologist, I see our fascination with spooky things as more than seasonal entertainment. Research shows that enjoying a little fright can help us manage stress, build resilience, and even strengthen social connections.

Curious about the science behind our love of the spooky? Read more in our latest blog post:

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never made it home. 🧡 This day is a reminder to listen, learn, and reflect on the truths of our history while committing to building a more compassionate and just future. Every Child Matters.

📱 Our phones make life easier, but sometimes the line between healthy use and overuse gets blurry. If you’re noticing habits like constant scrolling, late-night checking, or feeling anxious without your phone, it might be a sign to pause and reflect.

🌿 Finding balance doesn’t mean giving up your phone, it means using it more intentionally. Try small shifts like phone-free meals, turning off non-urgent notifications, or keeping your phone out of the bedroom. These little changes can help you feel more present, rested, and connected to what really matters.
