As we enter the New Year, it’s okay if it doesn’t feel exciting or motivating.
Talk of resolutions, goal-setting, “fresh starts,” and self-improvement can bring up pressure, grief, or overwhelm. Maybe you’re entering this year in a very different place than you expected. Maybe executive dysfunction makes the idea of organizing, planning, or “starting new” feel exhausting rather than hopeful. Maybe conversations about the gym, diets, or body changes feel triggering.
Remember this season is an invitation to practice compassion, not comparison. Your pace is allowed to look different. Your needs matter. And growth doesn’t have to be loud, visible, or tied to a calendar date.
Be gentle with yourself as you move into the year ahead. 🤍
