It’s Massage Therapy Awareness Week!

I can't believe that it’s already been 14 years that I’ve been providing massage therapy. I have a strong passion for helping others and find it very rewarding to be able to help make a difference in people's lives.
When I graduated in 2010, I knew that I wanted to work in rehabilitation and help people throughout their recovery journey. Eventually I wanted to share my passion and knowledge to others who share the same values in helping people. I’m incredibly grateful to be able to give back to the community now by teaching massage therapy to others.
I could not be happier with where I am today, and I am dedicated in continuing to provide high quality care in the most compassionate way to all my patients.
I feel so incredibly blessed to be where I am now in my career, and I thank all my patients for trusting me with their care and making a difference in my life too.

Our Story

Faces Awards Winner - 2015 & 2016, Ottawa's Top Massage Therapist I graduated from the massage therapy program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario in 2010. After graduation I wrote provincial exams in order to obtain my registration to become a registered massage therapist under the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. During my three year program, I have practiced swedish and non-swedish techniques. I also received training in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cranial and sacral therapy, lympathic draining, hydrotherapy and remedial exercises. I have further applied my techniques in many multidisciplinary settings through the massage therapy program at Algonquin. These include working with seniors, developmentally challenged and physically challenged children, sports athletes, pregnant women and babies, and a rehabilitation/scars clinic. In 2010, I started working immediately as a registered massage therapist in a Chiropractic clinic. I've worked individually as well as in a team with Dr.Marc St-Denis, Chiropractor. I have gained a lot of experience working with many different injuries, impairments and conditions. This 6 year experience has given me the opportunity to also find work in a setting that I always wanted to work in, which was working for the Ottawa Hospital at the riverside physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre. I have been working here now since 2014 and really enjoy helping individuals in need of therapy and rehabilitation. I am also a clinical and outreach supervisor at Algonquin College for the massage therapy program and I really love doing this. I am a firm believer that with massage therapy and remedial exercises, we are able to continue to live a well-balanced, healthier and happier lifestyle. I am committed to educating my clients about body awareness and prevention of injury. Guiding them to recovery through therapy, stretching, strengthening, hydrotherapy and relaxation.
