Every child deserves to feel secure, to trust that their basic needs will be covered.

Nutrition Blocs is working towards a future where school-aged children don’t have to wonder about their next meal. Through consistent, reliable access to nourishing food, we help create stability that children can count on every day.

When meals are dependable, children gain more nutrition and are better equipped for learning and growth. They gain confidence and freedom to think about their futures. Certainty can create a space for growth, and that is where potential can begin.

Help us continue building a future where children feel supported and secure.

We are incredibly honoured to share that Nutrition Blocs is one of the official charity partners of the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival this June!

The Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is one of our city’s most vibrant summer traditions that brings together teams, families, local business, and local supporters. Everyone gathers in a celebration of community and teamwork/

To be chosen as a charity partner means so much to us. Every paddle, team and supporter helps strengthen our mission to ensure children and families across Ottawa have access to nutritious meals.

We are so grateful to be part of an event that reflects the very heart of what we believe in: when community shows up together, real impact happens.

We can’t wait to cheer on the teams and celebrate an unforgettable weekend on the water between June 19 and 21st.

We’re still feeling so grateful after being part of the Canadian Culinary Championship

What an incredible evening celebrating culinary talent, generosity, and the power of community. We were honoured to be invited as the beneficiaries of the raffles, further helping our mission of supporting school-aged children and families across Ottawa.

A special thank you to the Canadian Culinary Championship for welcoming Nutrition Blocs and giving us the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event. We would also like to thank the incredible volunteers who stepped up at the event and brought their energy and dedication to the cause.

Moments like these remind us of what a powerful community we really have.

Children have always been the source of light during some of the world’s darkest times. They embody the good in the world. Our school-aged children remind us daily that healthy habits start early. They grow stronger when we work together. Their curiosity, excitement, and resilience guide everything we do.

We must provide for our school-aged children by ensuring they have the chance to grow and strengthen their resilience. Nutrition Blocs ensures that school-aged children in Ottawa receive hot, culturally appropriate meals, so no one is left behind.

Help us keep our children strong as when they are nourished, they don’t just grow, they can lead.

Impact doesn’t always arrive loudly; sometimes it shows up in the quiet, beautiful moments.

A little girl known for being a picky eater started bringing her vegetarian lunches home to share with her family. Kids started asking what’s for lunch because they were excited, not just hungry. One boy said his meal tasted like what his grandma used to make.

These moments tell us everything we need to know. Food creates comfort. It sparks joy and builds connection. And it reminds school-aged children that they are seen, valued, and cared for. Help more school-aged children feel seen by the food they are given. Donate today at www.nutritionblocs.org

Community really showed up. And wow, did it deliver.
Events like the Canadian Culinary Championship are a good reminder that when a community rallies around a shared purpose, real impact follows.

Seeing local chefs, partners, volunteers, and supporters come together was energizing. So was the generosity behind the scenes. Thanks to the incredible support of our raffle sponsors and volunteers, and the Championship’s commitment to giving back, 100 percent of raffle proceeds went directly to Nutrition Blocs. That support helps school-aged children and families across Ottawa get the hot and nutritious meals they deserve.

A huge thank you to the sponsors who made this possible. Your generosity mattered.

And to the Canadian Culinary Championship team. Thank you for welcoming us, for giving back, and for showing what’s possible when community looks out for community.

A big part of our work, providing hot meals to children, is made possible by small donations from very generous residents of our great city.

This week, Shalini Raphael made a donation in the loving memory of her mother, Mrs. Kalyani Albert.

Mrs. Albert was a teacher and student counsellor at the Bishop Cotton Girls' High School in Bangalore, India, and Ms. Shalini was delighted that her donation would support vulnerable children in our community.

Ms. Shalini's generous donation provided hot, nutritious, and delicious "Butter Chicken & Basmati Rice" meals to 100 children living in transitional housing.

Thank you, Shalini, for your generosity!

Access to nutritious meals does more than simply nourish; it creates opportunity.

Our partners have experienced this impact firsthand as food brings school-aged children together, strengthens programs, and encourages participation.

“People don't realize the importance of food. It has made a significant difference. And the story I'm telling now is that more children are attending the program because of the healthy snacks, thanks to Nutrition Blocs.” - Ottawa School of Art

When food is welcoming and reliable, children will show up ready to learn and engage in a place where they feel they belong.

Behind every number is a story, and behind every story is a family doing their best.

A mother had no food for her family for one week, and her kids came home talking about the meals we prepared and delivered; happy and grateful. Hearing her say, “Nutrition Blocs came in like God,” reminds us why this work matters. One family. One child. One meal at a time.

When families feel supported, stress turns into relief and uncertainty turns into hope. One family. One child. One meal at a time; each one building a stronger, more connected community.

Please help us continue supporting these stories and families by donating at www.nutritionblocs.org

Every meal we create starts with a community that shows up for children, for families, and for each other. Nutrition Blocs’ impact is only possible because of strong partnerships rooted in trust and care.

Nutrition Blocs proudly partners with Caldwell Family Centre, whose kitchen team plays a vital role in preparing and distributing meals to children and families across Ottawa. Together, we are turning vision into action.

Thank you to our local partners who have helped Nutrition Blocs prepare and distribute over 50,000 meals in the past year, ensuring children receive fresh, nourishing food where and when they need it most.

When communities come together, children thrive. Be part of that change by donating at www.nutritionblocs.org

At the core of Nutrition blocs is a strong belief that lasting change comes from relationships built on trust, care and a shared purpose.

We focus on transformational partnerships where both parties can grow over time and strengthen communities from within.
“We really put a deep value on transformational, not transactional relationships. And I would say that, for me anyway, has certainly set Abhi and Nutrition Blocs apart. ” - OrKidstra

This philosophy guides everything that Nutrition Blocs does because when people support one another, meaningful change follows.
