Happy Tuesday!
3 more days until Surgery Day! Going to have a great day moving my body and do things on my own while I still can.

Hit the clubhouse gym, followed by a snowfall swim/ hot tub/ sauna combo.

Pretty up my feet! Get a Pedicure as I don’t want to look at ugly feet during physio! 🫣

Last minute errands to complete , nesting, sleep, calmness, nutrition!

Had some fun tweaking a soup recipe to make it lower in calories, higher in protein , but still tasty and filling.

Meanwhile, something simple for dinner…. I made chicken fajitas on the weekend, having leftovers tonight.
I use the high protein 70 calorie wraps, light sour cream and cheese. Over 50 grams of protein and fewer calories just by choosing a nutrient dense wrap instead of a regular one.

These easy chicken fajitas are made with grilled chicken breast, bell peppers and onions and served sizzling hot with tortillas and cheese!

Plus! Looking forward to serving my cabbage lasagna and chili for my ski bunny group today! I can’t join them on the mountain, but the lunch is usually the best part! Women supporting women! 💓

The viral rice paper air fryer bagel.
Had to try it! Meh- 🫤 won’t make it again. Cottage cheese as my filling with turkey wrapped in pickle and cheese.
Same calories if you used two rice cakes, less mess, less fuss.

Prep- cook- clean up the air fryer and crumbs? 🤷‍♀️ Not worth it to me.

Last nights meal! Big success! The vegetable ragout added so much flavour, the roasted sliced cabbage added a nice crunch and char taste and I ended up air frying the schnitzel. Fresh squeezed lemon on top! Yum!

This mornings breakfast for hubby! Under 400 calories, 50 grams of protein. Omelette using 1 egg, 1 cup egg whites, turkey bacon, veggies, light cheese, a light yogurt and blackberries! Fuel for success!
Let’s see if his patients are able to get to the hospital for their surgery today though???? 🥺
I know he’ll get there , no matter what! 😆 🛻 ⛓️‍💥 big truck! Chains…. Just needs a plow on the front of that thing!

Me? Not sure if I’m making it to the gym today??? Stay safe all!

My Story

My past- I was a Registered Nurse that worked with the dying, palliative care. I retired from Nursing 17 yrs ago now- to raise my children and that was where I began to fall in love with Health, Food and Fitness.

I became a Group Fitness Instructor, then onto a Personal Trainer, via the YMCA, where I continue to Volunteer as a Group Cycle Instructor every Friday morning. I have been in the Fitness Industry for almost 7 years now. WOW! Time flies!

Education and continuously learning new things excites me- I took a few more courses over the years. Yoga- level 1- POUND Pro, Tabata Bootcamp, Kettlebells and my biggest accomplishment-I became a Spartan SGX Coach. I keep ALL of my credentials up to date each year. Something I value. My clients are important to me, and I must give them my 100% ( I tend to feel like a mama bird!) but I LOVE seeing success and growth in others. The whole package. Physically, Mentally, Emotionally.

My other passion is FOOD and cooking - so I love to create new recipes and find the best way to make a meal as healthy as possible, without losing flavour and keeping it exciting to the taste buds. I love wine and travel. Finding a balance is key! Living life, but also living healthy. I am happy to excited to help others do the same!
