The Spring Equinox has long been honored as a sacred threshold, a moment when day and night stand in perfect balance and the earth begins her slow return to life.
Across cultures, this time marked renewal, fertility, and the promise that what has been dormant will rise again. Ancient traditions treated it as a time to cleanse, plant seeds, and realign with the rhythms of nature, trusting in both growth and timing.
Now, it invites us to do the same, to soften out of winter’s introspection and gently reawaken our energy, creativity, and intention.

A few of our glimmers from our forest time today! We did science today for homeschool, so our projects were to do bark rubbings and to see how many trees we could wrap our arms around!

I needed the forest today. Her wisdom, her healing energy, her peace…was all calling me. How amazing is it that a short walk in the woods can soothe the soul and can lift your heart?! This is why I love what I do! Forest Bathing has taught me how to slow down, how to connect, to listen, to give, to heal from nature.

Tuesdays 7:30pm - Root to Rise Yoga An all levels yoga class, meant for every BODY! We will Root in with deep slow seated stretches focusing on opening up our hips, lengthening our hamstrings and decompressing the spine. Next we will Rise through gentle movement awakening the rest of our bodies creating space in our hips, front body, shoulders & heart. I invite you to come discover your love of yoga.

Why do I love the practice of Yoga?

As a woman in her 40’s in the throws of perimenopause, managing an autoimmune disease, a homeschool mom to a very active 5 year old, all while running a small business - yoga is my constant. I may not always be able to get out for a run or have energy to do a weighted workout but yoga is my safe space. I have rolled up mats in every corner of my house, because let’s be real - sometimes you don’t have time for the “picturesque” yoga practice! I roll out a mat in the morning for 15 mins or after my daughter has gone to bed. Even if I’m dead tired it’s my comfort, it’s my release.

Yoga has provided me with physical benefits like strength and mobility, which as we age is super important! But it has also provided me mental clarity, emotional release, self esteem and better sleep!

If you have already found your love of yoga or just beginning, I invite you to join me Tuesday or Friday evenings! I would be honoured to guide you as you develop the practice that is right for you!

Forest Bath & Yoga - October 19 @ 10:30am. Grey Sauble Conservation Area. Join me and fellow participants in a slow wander through nature, where we will observe, notice & connect with the natural beings and environment surrounding us. We will follow this serene wander with a 45 minute gentle yoga practice. The Forest Bath & Yoga practice will be held outdoors and will be a total of 2 hours. Please dress for the weather, layers are great. Please bring water & a yoga mat. Total investment $40. Now bookable through my website!
