We are so incredibly excited to share that Pizza Hut is a proud supporter of our Healthcare Hero program here at Brightshores Owen Sound Hospital.

Now, when an individual or department get its first three nominations as a Healthcare Hero, Pizza Hut will provide that department with a pizza party for staff to enjoy! Today, the Operating Room (OR) had the pleasure of receiving a well-deserved pizza lunch. 🥳

We couldn’t be more grateful for this partnership, which helps us recognize the incredible care that staff provide to patients and their families every single day.

We are also extremely thankful to all the donors who share stories and recognize their Healthcare Heroes! Hearing these kind words means more than you may realize. Staff truly appreciate knowing that the compassion and dedication they bring to their work leaves a lasting impact.

Starting off February with another Healthcare Hero nomination - Congratulations to the Women and Child Care Unit (WCCU) for being recognized as heroes! 👏👏👏

This is the second time recently that this amazing department has been recognized for their exceptional care. Their nominator wrote:

"Thank you so much for the exceptional care you provided to my twin grandsons 4 years ago when they had to be airlifted to London. It was an incredibly difficult time for our family, and we have never forgotten the dedication you showed."

Meet our most recent Healthcare Hero, Dr. Patrik Nechala, who was recently recognized not just once, not twice, but THREE TIMES (!!!) for the exceptional care he provides to patients at Brightshores Owen Sound 👏👏👏

Dr. Nechala is a general and thoracic surgeon at Brightshores who we are so lucky to have as part of our Brightshores Team!

Earlier this week, we were honoured to meet Dale from the Elmwood Community Service Association as we gratefully accepted a generous $2,000 donation in support of the highest priority needs at Brightshores Owen Sound.

Community driven support like this truly makes a meaningful difference in the care we’re able to provide. We are incredibly thankful to the Elmwood Community Service Association for their kindness, generosity, and continued commitment to strengthening local healthcare in our community. Thank you!

Congratulations to the Stroke & Rehab Department at Brightshores Owen Sound for being recognized as Health Care Heroes 👏👏

This incredible team was recognized for the exceptional care they provided to a patient following a stroke in 2020. In gratitude, the family has chosen to support the department through donations annually since then, as a way to say thank you and help ensure others receive the same compassionate, high-quality care.
