🌟 Exciting News from Chapman House!🌟

Today, Ryan Amyot from The Sound Charity Shootout stopped by to deliver a cheque representing part of the proceeds from this year's event! πŸŽ‰ This marks the 6th year of the tournament, and we are thrilled to share that a remarkable total of $136,000.00 has been donated to local charities over the years.

We’re incredibly grateful for being chosen as beneficiaries for the last five years. At Grey Bruce Hospice, Chapman House, we rely on community support, as we are funded by less than 50% from the government. To meet our operational needs, we must raise $1.3 million each year to cover the shortfall.

Third-party fundraisers like the Shoot Out play a vital role in our ability to provide compassionate care, and we cannot thank our generous community enough for their ongoing support. πŸ’–

With 9 beds, we are the only fully operational hospice dedicated to serving all of the Grey & Bruce region. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those in need. Thank you for being a part of our mission!

πŸŽ‰βœ¨ Join us today, Saturday, November 15, from 9 AM to 3 PM at East Ridge School for a heartwarming Christmas Craft and Vendor Show! πŸŽ„πŸ›οΈ

This year’s event is particularly special because our amazing friend Scarlet has taken the initiative to create beautiful crafts that she’ll be selling by donation. All proceeds will go directly to the Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation.

Scarlet is a vibrant and inspiring young girl who has been deeply moved by a friend’s experience at hospice and is determined to give back. After touring the facility with her family, her goal is to help create more hospice beds to support those in need in the future. ❀️

Let’s come together to support this incredible young lady and her wonderful cause. Your presence and donations can make a real difference! See you there! πŸŒŸπŸ™Œ

🌟 Exciting News from Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation! 🌟

In October, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the 100 Good Men Northern Grey County evening, where we pitched alongside two other amazing local charities for their support. We are thrilled to announce that The Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation was awarded a generous donation of $18,200! πŸŽ‰

All the charities presented were worthy causes, but we are beyond grateful that the votes favoured GBH Foundation. This funding will significantly enhance our ability to provide exceptional palliative care to the wonderful communities of Grey and Bruce.

Three members from 100 Men Who Give a Damn visited us today to present the cheque, and we had the pleasure of giving them a tour of our magnificent facility. It’s astonishing how many people in our community haven’t yet seen inside Chapman House, and we feel incredibly lucky to have such a vital resource right here.

If you’d like to experience Chapman House for yourself, please reach out to Amy McConachie at amcconachie@gbhfoundation.com to set up a tour.

A heartfelt thank you once again to 100 Men Who Give a Damn for making a significant difference in our community and supporting our foundation in its first year. Together, we can ensure that Chapman House continues to thrive and provide compassionate care for years to come! πŸ’–

Today, we pause to remember and honour all who have served β€” those who gave their lives, those who returned forever changed, and the families who carried their memory forward.

At Grey Bruce Hospice and Foundation, we are deeply aware of the value of peace, compassion, and dignity β€” values protected by the brave men and women who served our country. Their courage allows us to serve others in comfort and care every day.

As the nation observes a moment of silence, we join together in gratitude and reflection.
Lest we forget.

Donation Message from Executive Director

URGENT HELP NEEDED A Message from the Executor Director of the Grey-Bruce Hospice: I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and in good health. As essential service providers, we are closely following all of the government Coronavirus guidelines for the safety of our residents, families, employees and the Grey-Bruce Community. The Grey-Bruce Hospice is a vitally important service in our community and we need your help to assist with the financial challenge we face during the Coronavirus outbreak.

We are asking for donations to help support our Grey Bruce Community Hospice via our fundraising page.

If you are not able to donate, we understand it's a difficult time and ask you to further the cause by sharing our message with friends and family. This unprecedented time has created plenty of concerns for individuals and businesses who struggle to make ends meet and to pay their bills. Many not-for-profit organizations like ours have also been impacted with the struggle to safely deliver essential services. As The Grey-Bruce Hospice was built by our community for our community, our funds are only raised within our community.

That is why the greatest challenge facing The Grey Bruce Hospice during the Coronavirus outbreak is our inability to do our regular fundraising activities. Activities like Casino Night at Legacy Ridge and Hike for Hospice that raise 200k+ per year. What you may not know is that these funds are essential to cover 51% of our costs which are not covered by the government. Meeting our fundraising goals allows us to ease the final journey of over 750 within our community since our doors opened.
