What a fun-filled Easter week we’ve had! 🐣🌸

We kicked things off with some wonderful music from the Cod Tongue Bys 🎶—the perfect way to get everyone in the spirit! From there, we enjoyed a delightful Easter puppet show that brought lots of smiles and laughter.

Our creativity shone through during our Easter bonnet making 🎩🌷, with so many beautiful and unique designs, followed by a sweet and exciting Easter egg hunt 🥚—complete with some very special (and adorable!) bunny visitors 🐰💛

It’s been a week full of joy, laughter, and great memories. Thank you to everyone who made it so special! 🌼

🌸📅 April Activity Calendar is Here! 📅🌸

We have a fun-filled month ahead, packed with lots of exciting activities for everyone to enjoy! From creative crafts to lively entertainment, there’s something for all interests this April.

Get ready for some festive Easter bonnet making, exciting egg hunts, meaningful church services, and plenty of music and entertainment to keep the energy high! 🎶🐣 We’ve also got a variety of other activities planned to keep our days engaging, social, and full of smiles.

Our weekends will be resident-led, with the help of our wonderful volunteers when available—making for relaxed, community-driven fun! 💛

We can’t wait to share all these wonderful moments together—be sure to check out the calendar so you don’t miss out on anything!

An Afternoon of Music & Sweet Treats 🎶🍪

What a fantastic afternoon we had yesterday! 🎶 The music was absolutely wonderful, and our residents loved every minute—filled with smiles, tapping toes, and great energy all around.

And of course, we can’t forget the delicious cookies 🍪—a big shoutout to our cook for adding the perfect sweet touch to an already amazing day!

We had such a fun and festive St. Patrick’s Day here, full of green, laughter, and great company! 🍀💚
Residents had a blast playing St. Patrick’s Day bingo and showing off their festive necklaces. Some of our residents even dressed up for the occasion — and a few really went all out, which made the day even more fun and full of spirit!
A big shoutout to our amazing staff for helping make the day extra special — it truly felt like home, just with a little extra luck of the Irish! 🍀

🥌 Brier Watch Party Fun! 🎉

Our residents have been having a fantastic time gathering to watch the Brier and cheer on our fellow Newfoundlanders! There’s been lots of excitement, friendly chatter, and plenty of hometown pride in the room.

From great shots to close ends, everyone has been enjoying the games together and showing their support. We love bringing residents together for events like this where they can relax, socialize, and cheer on Team Newfoundland and Labrador!

🎉 Resident Birthday Celebration! 🎂

This week we gathered to celebrate our residents with February and March birthdays, and what a wonderful party it was! 🥳

A huge shout-out to the band Music w/Friends for providing such fantastic music and creating such a lively, joyful atmosphere. Our residents had an amazing time singing along, tapping their toes, and celebrating together. 🎶

Another big thank you to our incredible staff for all of their help serving and cleaning up afterwards. Your hard work and teamwork made the event run smoothly, and it is truly appreciated! 👏

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this celebration so special for our residents. 💛

🌷 March at Kingsway is Full of Fun! 🎶🎉

Spring is on its way, and we are kicking off March with an exciting lineup of activities for our residents!

This month is packed with live music, wonderful entertainers, engaging programs, and even some sports watch parties for our big game fans! 🏒📺 Nothing brings people together quite like cheering on a favorite team with friends.

From uplifting performances to social gatherings and resident-led weekend fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy — whether you love to sing along, tap your toes, or simply sit back and take it all in.

We can’t wait to share all the smiles, laughter, and special moments this month brings! 💛

As we head into a new season here at Kingsway, we are excited to officially relaunch our Kingsway Kudos Board for 2026! 🥳✨

Our Kudos Program is a special way to recognize the incredible staff members who make Kingsway feel like home every single day. Whether it’s a warm smile, a helping hand, a kind word, or going above and beyond for our residents and families — we want to celebrate it!

Residents, family members, friends, and staff are all invited to participate 💛

How to leave a Kudos:

1️⃣ Fill out a Kudos card (located in the box on the wall under our Kudos Board in the dining room).
2️⃣ Write the employee’s name and a brief note about what they did.
3️⃣ Drop the card into the ballot box.

At the end of each month, three staff members will be drawn to win a prize! 🎉🎉🎉

Let’s fill the board with positivity and appreciation as we kick off another wonderful year together. We can’t wait to see it covered in kind words again!

Last week, we felt the love all throughout Kingsway Living! ❤️

We had an absolute blast celebrating Valentine’s Day with our residents. From our lively Valentine’s Dance to our sweet Valentine’s Social, there was plenty of music, laughter, and smiling faces to go around. 💃🕺

We were also so fortunate to receive beautiful Valentine’s cards and treats from the wonderful children at Elim’s Children’s Program and Paradise Intermediate. The kindness and creativity from the students truly brightened our residents’ week — thank you for spreading so much joy! 💌

It was a wonderful Valentine’s week here at Kingsway, filled with love, connection, and community. 💕

As always, our weekend programs are resident-led and are chosen on a week-by-week basis to reflect their interests and preferences.

February may be chilly outside, but our days are filled with warmth, connection, and smiles. We can’t wait to share all these special moments with our residents this month! 💖

🎶 Live Music to Start the New Year! 🎶

We were so happy to welcome Cod Tongue Boys to our home as they helped us ring in the new year with live music, laughter, and great energy! Their performance filled our home with smiles, toe-tapping, and plenty of sing-alongs.

A big thank you to the band for sharing their talent and bringing such a wonderful atmosphere to our residents. We are looking forward to many more visits and lots of music-filled moments in the year ahead! 🎸🎤
