✨ Honouring 100 Years of the Paris Legion ✨

We were honoured to welcome members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 Paris to Queensview recently for a very special presentation. As part of the Legion’s 100th anniversary celebrations coming up in 2026, they brought in a beautifully crafted commemorative quilt that tells the story of our local heroes, our town, and our shared history.

Residents gathered to listen, reflect, and admire the artwork, stitched with care, pride, and remembrance. From the historic railway bridge to scenes of local veterans, each panel in the quilt holds deep meaning for our community. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the Legion members for sharing this powerful tribute with us. We are grateful for your service — past and present — and for helping us keep these important stories alive.

At Queensview, our knitting club has taken on a project that is close to our hearts. 🧶

Together, our residents are hand-crafting poppies for the Paris Legion. Each stitch is not just yarn and thread, but a symbol of gratitude and remembrance for the men and women who served our country.

As Remembrance Day approaches, this project has sparked wonderful conversations, shared memories, and a deep sense of connection — both with each other and with the broader community. 💕

We’re proud of our residents for giving their time and talents to honour Canada’s veterans in such a meaningful way.
