Please be advised that West Parry Sound Health Centre (WPSHC) is undertaking essential maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to its facilities. From 23 to 30 March, the Emergency Department will be undergoing renovations.

This will not disrupt our services or care.

Please anticipate higher-than-normal noise levels and increased occupancy during this period. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

This past February, Lakeland Long-Term Care home embraced the Olympic Spirit! Residents were enthusiastic (and cuttthroat!) participants in this year's Lakeland Resident Winter Olympics!

The modified events included curling, downhill slalom skiing, and - of course- hockey! The energy throughout the events were infectious, and everyone involved had a blast!

Initiatives such as this demonstrate commitment to delivering patient-centred care by adapting world-inspired activities to meet unique needs and preferences. Residents participated at their comfort level, promoting physical movement, cognitive stimulation, and meaningful social connection while helping them feel included in global events and community life.

A big thank you to all organisers and participants!
