Today, we honour and remember the brave individuals who served and sacrificed for their nations, their communities, and their families. With pride, and with gratitude, we thank all those who gave so much for a brighter future.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

Lakeland LTC and WPSHC were very lucky to host acclaimed cellist Cameron Crozman!

Cameron was kind enough to swing by with a 275 year-old cello (😲) and perform a selection of Bach's suites. By the time the final note rang out, there wasn't a dry eye in the house!

WPSHC and Lakeland are privileged to enjoy the continued support and partnership of such generous, compassionate, and talented individuals. Our sincerest thanks to Cameron for taking the time out of his day to bring a little music to our lives!

In honour of respiratory therapy (RT) week, we caught up with Riley, one of our rockstar RT’s, to find out what he loves about his work!
Professionals like Riley are highly and specially trained in cardio-pulmonary care. If it has anything to do with lungs, breathing or your airway, Riley’s the expert! Respiratory therapists play a crucial role in providing critical care and helping manage chronic illnesses. Working in tandem with nurses, physiotherapists, physicians, and pharmacists, RT’s ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of comprehensive care 👍
A big thank you to our RT’s, Riley and Ben, for all that they do!

This past week was !

Our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) team celebrated with education, vaccinations, music, and chocolate bars! The incredible work done by this team ensures that our health centre continues to be a safe place of care by minimising infection transmission risks. 👀

This year’s theme, "Bridging Gaps, Building Bridges," highlights the collaborative nature of health care, and how a healthy community does not happen in isolation.

Our teams exemplify this approach, as IPAC education worked in tandem with community participation to increase vaccination rates, promote hand hygiene, and encourage vigilance around infection transmission vectors.

Thank you, IPAC!
