For a long time, I thought I had to keep pushing through.
No breaks. No pauses.
But all that really did was leave me more exhausted.
When I finally started giving myself mindful pauses, I realized I bounced back faster. My energy came back. My thinking became clearer. I was more focused, more patient, and more present.
I used to feel guilty taking time for myself while the world kept moving. But the truth is… the world will keep moving either way.
And if you don’t take care of yourself, eventually your body will force you to stop. I learned that the hard way through burnout and getting sick.
Self-care isn’t selfish. It’s necessary.
Everything will still be there when you return. The difference is that you’ll come back more rested, and able to show up as the best version of yourself.
Take the time. Reset. Then return stronger.
