Your system is asking for triage, not reinvention.

There are seasons where your life is so full, your body so tired, your heart so stretched, that the idea of “redesigning your life” is overwhelming.

And yet your mind keeps saying:

Something has to change.

But here’s the truth most of us miss:

You don’t need to overhaul your life when you’re exhausted or unwell. You need to reduce the load so you can see clearly again.

When your system is at capacity:
• You’ll feel more emotional
• Your relationships feel more fragile
• Work feels heavier
• Your body feels slower
• Everything feels personal

This does not mean you’re failing.
It means you’re tired or that your system is maxed out biologically.

And when you’re in this place, the task is not to:
• Rewrite your whole schedule
• Fix every relationship
• Make bold new decisions
• Push harder

The task is:

Do the next effective thing.
The smallest real thing that preserves your energy and keeps you on your path.

Maybe that means:
• The simplest meal
• 10 minutes outside
• Moving one meeting
• One clear boundary
• Going to bed earlier
• Making one small financial adjustment

Not to change everything.

Just to keep you steady.

Because stability is what makes clarity possible.

You don’t find your way back by intensity.
You find it by gentleness and sequence.

One thing at a time.
The next effective thing.
You move forward … without abandoning yourself.

You don’t need to transform today.

You just need to stay.

I could not be more excited about this 🙌✨

Feeling incredibly grateful to live in a community like Parry Sound where we’re not just talking about doing health differently…. we’re actually DOING it.

To be part of the CLIP-ON Lifestyle Medicine Program with a team brave enough to look beyond traditional models and treat ROOT causes instead of SYMPTOMS feels like a dream.

This program doesn’t tiptoe around the truth. It understands that ultra-processed food addiction is a real and critical piece of the health puzzle. When we name it, we remove shame. We stop blaming willpower for something that was never about willpower in the first place, but about products engineered to hijack our biology and override our best intentions.

Knowledge gives people their power back. It’s bold. It’s compassionate. And it’s how we help individuals reclaim their health, their freedom, and their lives.

This team is leaning into:
Real nutrition 🌿
Movement that feels good 🏃‍♀️
Sleep support 😴
Stress reduction 🧘‍♂️
Community connection 🤝
And compassionate, science-based behaviour change 🧬💛

Northern Ontario leading the way? Yes please.
Healthcare that meets people where they are? Absolutely.
Hope, empowerment, and evidence-based support? Count me in.

Here’s to rural innovation, healing through lifestyle, and believing deeply that people don’t just deserve to survive, they deserve to THRIVE.

Let’s change lives. Let’s change systems.
And let’s make wellness accessible for everyone. 💚✨

I was very honoured to be featured in Parry Sound Life Magazine this month! I didn’t realize I was searching for the “perfect” place to live until I landed in Parry Sound AND it turns out I’d already found it. Sometimes the right place isn’t something you chase down, it’s the one that quietly feels like home the moment you settle in.

I came up here to finish school, but the way this place calmed my nervous system made me never want to leave. Staying turned out to be the BEST decision I’ve ever made.

I feel so lucky to have landed in a place that somehow manages to smell like pine trees, fresh water, serenity and all the seasons all at once. The very scents most people have to buy at Bath & Body Works.

I feel deeply grateful today for the life I’ve been able to create here, the people who make it feel like mine, and the reminder that sometimes home isn’t just where you live, it’s where you’re known.

How Can I Help

Hi my name is Clarissa Kennedy. I am a Food Addict in recovery. I struggled with this disease for decades and have discovered a solution and freedom from the bo***ge of food. I am Social Worker, Mental Health and Addictions Counsellor, Internationally Accredited Food Addiction Counsellor, and am SUGAR certified. I am the administrator of a Facebook Group called Sugarbomb in your brain which has over 7,000 people in it looking to recovery from sugar addiction. I’m on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Food Addiction Institute which advocates the wide spread acceptance of food addiction as a disease of substance abuse and the availability of effective abstinence-based solutions.

have a practice in Parry Sound but I also work with individuals from all over the world to help relieve the daily mental obsession that food causes them. I help people fall in love with healthy food and detox from added sugars. I work with people from all over the world to find peace from the obsession of

I focus on quality proteins, healthy fats and good carbs (vegetables). It is important to step away from all processed food if you want to free yourself from the grips food has on you. My goal is to help you change the foods you eat and your habits around food. These practices help you nourish self love. By changing the foods you eat every day, you will begin to understand how Food Is Medicine. What you put on the end of your fork can positively affect your entire life. Increased energy, better focus, and what we are all searching for deeper and more restful sleep. The BIGGEST BONUS: freedom from cravings or the need for the comfort of sugar when you are experiencing stress.

To really want to take care of something over the long term, you NEED to love and appreciate it. If you do not love and appreciate your body right now, you are never going to want to nourish it and nurture it. You are never going to want to look after it by feeding it healthy food and working on daily practices that help you get your mind right.
