A Weekend Whisper for the part of you that doesn’t always have words…

There is a quiet power in choosing a routine for yourself.

Not one built to impress.
Not one shaped by comparison.
Not one designed to prove your worth.

But one that belongs to you.

In a world that constantly pulls at our attention, committing to a small daily practice — a walk, a page written, a promise kept — becomes an act of self-respect.

Structure, when chosen consciously, does not confine us.
It steadies us.

There is something grounding about waking up and knowing:
This is what I am building.
This is how I am showing up for myself.

It creates momentum.
It restores trust in your own word.
It gives shape to days that might otherwise drift.

Purpose doesn’t always arrive as a grand calling.
Sometimes it begins as a simple commitment you honour when no one is watching.

Not for applause.
Not for validation.
But because you decided you are worth the effort.

And that quiet decision — repeated — becomes empowerment.

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍

Ace would love for this to be real life. He d make an amazing sidekick for a single person. Extremely loyal, always happy, up for any adventure and loves to be by your side. He lives for car rides, has amazing recall, is neutered and vaccinated. Perfect wing man. Those beautiful eyes will get noticed by all the ladies. Best guess is husky/shepherd cross. At 5 years old poor Ace is homeless. He is a strong alpha and would best suit a home with no other pets. Non destructive when left alone and just so happy once you make your way home to him. Please share and help us get out of the shelter. Currently located near Parry Sound.

Fibre: The Menopause MVP 🌿🔥
We talk a lot about protein, but fibre is the secret weapon for navigating the midlife shift. Experts like Dr. Stacy Sims and Dr. Amy Shah highlight fibre as a non-negotiable for hormone and metabolic health.

Why it’s a game-changer:
* The Estrogen "Flush": Dr. Stacy Sims emphasizes that fibre is essential for bound estrogen to actually leave the body. Without enough fibre, metabolized hormones can get reabsorbed, making symptoms like hot flashes and mood swings worse. 🚽✨
* Crush the Cravings: Dr. Amy Shah points out that fibre stabilizes blood sugar. It prevents the spikes and crashes that lead to "hanger" and that stubborn midlife belly fat. 📉🍎
* Gut-Hormone Connection: Fibre feeds the bacteria that help regulate your mood and metabolism.
A happy gut = a happier menopause.

Daily Fibre Goals:
I aim for 25–35g a day by focusing on:
* Seeds: Chia and flax (easy to toss in everything).
* Berries: High fibre, low sugar.
* Legumes: Lentils and beans for that slow-burn energy.
* Greens: Filling your plate first with the roughage.
The result? Better digestion, steadier energy, and a more resilient metabolism. It’s not glamorous, but it works.

Are you hitting your fibre goals, or is this your sign to add a tablespoon of chia seeds to your breakfast? Let’s swap tips below! 👇

A Weekend Whisper for the part of you that doesn’t always have words…

I didn’t write this week.

Not because I didn’t care.
Not because I forgot.
But because it was a hard week.

The kind of week where the energy feels thin.
Where words sit somewhere inside you, but refuse to form.
Where showing up feels heavier than usual.

Sometimes we move through days that ask more of us than we anticipated.
Quietly. Privately. Without announcement.

And in those weeks, survival is enough.
Presence is enough.
Rest is enough.

There is a subtle pressure in spaces like this — to always have something meaningful to say, something uplifting to offer.
But honesty feels more aligned.

Some weeks are not for creating.
They are for carrying.
For processing.
For simply getting through.

If you’ve had a week like that too — you’re not behind.
You’re human.

There is wisdom in knowing when to speak,
and wisdom in knowing when to be still.

This is me choosing to return gently, without explanation, without apology — just truth.

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍

A Weekend Whisper for the part of you that doesn’t always have words…

The world feels heavy. That isn’t an exaggeration — it’s an honest observation.

We are exposed to more suffering, more uncertainty, more noise than any nervous system was designed to process. It’s natural to feel tired. It’s natural to feel guarded.

Keeping our hearts open in a heavy world is not about constant compassion or relentless positivity. It is about discernment.

It is knowing what is ours to carry — and what is not.
It is allowing ourselves to care without collapsing under the weight of everything.
It is choosing engagement without self-abandonment.

An open heart is not an unprotected one.
It has boundaries.
It rests.
It turns off the noise.
It returns to what is tangible and within reach.

We might say that love is not fragile — but attention is.
Where we place our attention shapes the condition of our hearts.

So when the world feels overwhelming, we need to try to come back to what we can influence:
our breath, oyr thoughts, our home, our words, our small acts of steadiness.

Staying open does not mean staying exposed.
It means remaining aligned with our values, even when the world feels misaligned.

And that is a quiet kind of strength.

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍
