RISE: Resource Centre for Independent Living

RISE: Resource Centre for Independent Living RISE is a non profit organization that supports people with physical disabilities & their families in RISE serves the Districts of Parry Sound and Muskoka.

RISE is a consumer-controlled, community-based, non-profit resource centre which means that our services and managerial structures will be governed by a minimum of 51% of people with disabilities. We help people with disabilities to learn Independent Living skills and integrate into the community through a wide range of programs and services. We encourage people with disabilities to take control of their own lives by exercising their right to examine options, make choices, take risks and even make mistakes. As a fully accredited member of Independent Living Canada, RISE is one of 24 Centres which exist to promote the full participation of persons with disabilities as citizens.

CareBridge is now open!

CareBridge is a temporary clinic in West Parry Sound for people who do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner.

πŸ“The CareBridge Clinic is located at the West Parry Sound Health Centre.

The clinic offers:

β€’ Support for finding a permanent provider
