Welcome to the new County of Renfrew Long-Term Care Home page! Miramichi Lodge, located in the City of Pembroke, is a non-profit, 166 bed long-term care home.

It is owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke and has provided quality care to the frail and elderly since 1969. Miramichi Lodge operates under the direction of the Administrator and is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under the Long-Term Care Homes Act 5.0.2007, which came into force July 1, 2010. The Lodge is a non-smoking facility and property. The Home provides 24 hour nursing and personal care, nutritious meals and snacks, activation and recreation, rehabilitation, palliative and pastoral care, housekeeping, laundry and administrative support. The Lodge has an annual budget in excess of approximately $11M and employs over 200 staff. Bonnechere Manor, a municipal (not-for-profit) long-term care home located in the Town of Renfrew, provides long-term care services to 180 residents. It is owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke and has provided quality care to the frail and elderly since 1958. In 1995, residents and staff moved to our new, state-of-the-art Home located at 470 Albert Street. Bonnechere Manor operates under the direction of the Director of Long-Term Care and is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007. The Manor is a non-smoking Home and property. It has an annual budget of approximately $15 M and employs approximately 250 staff.

Thank you to Carmel Rumleskie for inviting her very talented brother’s to perform at Bonnechere Manor today. Michael and Paul Kelly had the audience up dancing and singing along to a wide variety of music. The performance brought so much joy, toe-tapping and smiles to everyone in attendance. 🎶🎻🎸

Residents, staff, and guests gathered at Miramichi Lodge for a moving Remembrance Day service, honouring the courage and sacrifice of those who served our country in times of war and peace.

Our heartfelt thanks to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72 for leading the ceremony and ensuring that the legacy of our veterans continues to be remembered with dignity and pride. Their presence and dedication remind us of the importance of reflection, gratitude, and unity.

To our veterans, and to all those who continue to serve: we thank you. We remember you. We honour you. 🇨🇦

Lest We Forget

Today we gathered at Bonnechere Manor to honour and remember the brave men and women who have served our country. 🇨🇦

Our heartfelt thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 148, Renfrew, for facilitating this meaningful Remembrance Day service for our residents. Your presence and dedication help ensure that their sacrifices are never forgotten.

As part of the service, 103 year old Veteran and Manor resident, Louise Snow was presented with a Legion Member Medal honouring 55 years of service.

🎉 Flu Fighters at Miramichi Lodge! 💉

We’re happy to share that our staff influenza vaccination rate is above the provincial average — and still climbing!
Getting the flu shot helps protect not only ourselves, but also our residents, colleagues, and community during cold and flu season. Thank you to everyone who has rolled up their sleeves to keep Miramichi Lodge safe and healthy! 💪

We had a wonderful time at a Volunteer Appreciation event on October 28th celebrating our fantastic volunteers at Bonnechere Manor!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers who give their time, talents and hearts to support our residents and Day Program clients. Your kindness makes a difference every single day.

Special thanks to our food service team for the delicious food, to the Client programs team for the service and the ‘Manor Band’ for getting the music started. We were pleased to have many musical volunteers in the crowd share a song or two.

Thank you to The Warden, Peter Emon, The Chair of Health Committee, Mayor Michael Donohue, CAO Craig Kelley and Acting Director of Long-Term Care, Dean Quade for attending and offering words of thanks on behalf of the County of Renfrew and Bonnechere Manor.

On October 29th, Miramichi Lodge celebrated our incredible volunteers with an afternoon of music, delicious treats, and heartfelt gratitude. Guests enjoyed beautiful piano performances by Peter, and we were honoured to welcome special guests CAO Craig Kelley, The Chair of Health Committee, Mayor Donohue and Dean Quade, Acting Director of LTC.

Our Food Services team outdid themselves with charcuterie teacups, cheesecakes, and cupcakes—all perfectly complementing our fall theme, “Thankful for You.”

On behalf of everyone at Miramichi Lodge, thank you to our volunteers for your kindness, compassion, and dedication. You make a difference every single day! 💛🍁
