I love it when it all comes together perfectly!
I freshened the edges as it was a laceration to make sure I had good skin to appose.
The eyelid margin I used a figure 8 stitch then continuous interrupted below.
I love the figure 8 stitch to make eyelid margins perfect and no suture to rub on the eye! Most important part is placement of your bites!

Something to note... trying to keep staff safe so we can stay open for your pets!!!

To our amazing clients,

With the Covid-19 changing so much about our daily habits here at PAH we wanted to give you a further update on what we are doing to keep not only you and your furry friend safe but also keeping our staff safe as well.

We are now proceeding with Curbside Appointments.
What does this mean to you?
It means that when you arrive at our hospital, you will park your car, call us to alert staff that you have arrived, a member of our team will come out to your car to get your pet. You will remain in your car. We will then do any examination, diagnostics, treatment and procedures just like we always do. Once done we will return your furry family member to your car and all communication will be done by phone. Payment can be done either over the phone or a staff member will bring the debit machine to your car (please assure that you are parked close enough to the building).

We will be postponing scheduling further non-essential appointments until April 1st (aside from puppy/kitten boosters as these are time sensitive).

Our doors will remain locked, but we are still here!

We understand that this is a quickly evolving situation and we are trying our best to stay on top of everything. We will continue to post important updates as they become available.

Please give us a call at 613-732-3641 if you have any questions or concerns. We are here for you, after all you are our family!

Omg this is the cutest thing ever! Thanks Kate for doing such an amazing job as always!!!!

Some celebrity fun facts (and mild boasting) for your Friday night (😜😎😆):
💫Years ago in Kingston I got to groom a dog named Ruby Sinclair owned by a member of The Tragically Hip 🙊
💫A 2019 Super Bowl commercial featured the better-looking canine brother of a dog I once used in competition 🥈
💫TODAY: Snowy, son of Dr. Melissa Davies, DVM; of the Pembroke Animal Hospital 🥰

Thanks Dr. Davies for trusting us with your senior boy!

We love seeing businesses make improvements using our Community Improvement Plan grant program.
PEMBROKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL was recently approved for an Accessibility Grant which will see the hospital install push-button doors at its entrances, and level out a lip at the bottom of one door.
Dr. Davies stands at one of the doors that will be upgraded.
Thanks for working to better our community!

Do you have questions about these grants? Find full details on our website at http://bit.ly/CIPGrants

Scary but super important to be aware of!!!!

Research out of the University of Guelph suggests a potentially fatal tapeworm thought only to be in the Prairies is widespread in southern Ontario.

Such cuteness!!! 🥰🥰

Harley visited PAH and Dr. Melissa Davies, DVM sneaked away with him to steal some puppy kisses. He isn't feeling very well, so can we get some likes for Harley to help him feel better?
