Content note: This post discusses self-injury awareness in a non-graphic way.

Today is Self-Injury Awareness Day.
We’re holding space for anyone who uses self-injury as a way to cope, and for those who love someone who does.
You are not weak. You are not broken. And you are not alone.
Support, understanding, and safer ways to cope are possible, and help is available when you’re ready.
If today brings up anything for you, please reach out to someone you trust or access one of the supports below. You deserve care, compassion, and support. 💙

We’re sharing an opportunity on behalf of Ontario Health Central.

Ontario Health Central is recruiting new members for their Patient and Family Advisory Council. They’re looking for individuals from the Central Region who want to use their lived experience to help improve health care planning, advance health equity, and shape better patient and caregiver experiences.

If you’ve used (or supported someone who has used) the health system in the past two years and want to make a difference in areas like mental health, primary care, and community health, this could be a great opportunity.

Learn more and apply directly through Ontario Health Central.
