Greenorchid massage & wellness was born of my passion to help people feel better, physically, emotionally and mentally. I help people remove the stress and pain from their body so that it can begin the healing process. Understanding how fascia, our body’s connective tissue works and how it’s related to pain, adhesions, scar tissue and restriction of movement is key to feeling and moving better. Using a combination of Fluid Isometrics ™ (fascia release using my hands) and Block Therapy ™(fascia release using a therapeutic aid called the Block Buddy), we work together to find the source of your pain, and what your body needs to release it and start to heal. I’ll also teach you how to use the Block Buddy to continue your fascia release at home. Together we can work to help you release restrictions, move better, recover from injuries faster and reduce chronic pain.

Your breath is one of the fastest ways to communicate safety to your nervous system.

When you shift into diaphragmatic breathing—slow, deep breaths that expand through the belly and Al the way through the torso—you’re telling your body it’s okay to relax. Heart rate softens, tension melts, and your system moves out of that constant “fight or flight mode.” Try this:
Inhale slowly through your nose, let your belly expand
Exhale long and slow, feel everything soften
Then notice how your body responds

This is why I love pairing it with Block Therapy. As you open up the fascia and create space in the body, the diaphragm can actually move the way it’s meant to… and the breath becomes effortless, not forced.

Feeling safe in your body starts with accurate predictions.

And those predictions? They’re only as good as the information your brain is getting.

When your major neural systems are sending clear, reliable input, your brain can actually make sense of it… and respond appropriately.

That’s when you feel calm.
That’s when you move better.
That’s when your system feels safe.

But when the input is unclear or distorted, the brain has to guess… and that’s where tension, compensation, and stress can start to build.

Clear input = better integration = a safer, more regulated you.
Saccades help you practice scanning your environment for input (visual input is the highest priority for your nervous system), can help you improve your posture and balance as well as giving you faster reaction times. Cool hey?

Your eyes aren’t just for seeing… they’re directly connected to your brain.

In fact, your eyes are an extension of your brain itself.

Everywhere you look, how quickly your eyes move, what you focus on—this is all feeding information back to your nervous system.

Fast, darting eyes? Your system reads that as stress or threat.
Soft, steady gaze? That signals safety.

Your vision is constantly shaping how your body feels.
Do you ever ever notice at the end of a long computer session how tight your body feels? How does that compare to when you have been staring at a sunset or watching the sunrise or the ocean waves come in and out? Usually your body feels more relaxed.

That’s not random—that’s neurological.

Your eyes help regulate your state.

So if your body feels tight, anxious, or on edge it’s time to change what you’re looking at.

Slow it down.
Soften your focus.
Take in your surroundings. Go into nature and just softly look at something. Look off into the distance instead of something close to your face.

Let your eyes tell your brain:
“We’re safe.”

And watch your body follow 💚

Body rigidity isn’t just tight muscles… it’s your nervous system trying to protect you.

When your system doesn’t feel safe, it turns the volume up on tension.
Shoulders tighten. Hips get stiff. Jaw clenches. Movement feels restricted.

This isn’t a flaw—it’s a strategy.

Your nervous system is always scanning:
“Am I safe… or do I need to brace?”

And when it leans into protection, the body responds with rigidity.

So instead of forcing yourself to stretch deeper or push harder…
what if you gave your body a reason to feel safe enough to let go?

Slow your breath.
Hum.
Move gently.
Engage your senses.

When the nervous system softens… the body follows.

Less gripping.
More flow.
Better movement.

Your body isn’t working against you—it’s working for you.
You just need to speak its language 💚

Your nervous system is everything 🙌🏻

I talk a lot about how powerful it is to understand your body—and today was a real-life reminder.

After feeling super stressed from tech issues, I went straight to my tools: peppermint oil (one of my favourites), smelling through one nostril at a time, then adding in some humming.

Simple. But powerful.

Within minutes I shifted from overwhelmed… to calm, grounded, and genuinely happy—like I’d had an amazing day, even though it had some stressful moments.

That’s the magic of working with your nervous system, not against it.

Our Story

At greenorchid wellness it’s all about relief. Relief from physical and emotional pain. It’s about healing and self care. Using a combination of Block Therapy, deep tissue massage and Specialized Kinesiology we work together to find restrictions and blockages in your body and what your body needs to release those blockages and start the healing process. This is a journey towards wellness where it’s both hands on work by me and suggestions for how you can help yourself feel better. Breathe and Release.
