Here are Dr. Guenette’s top 3 simple, effective tips to help you feel taller, lighter, and more comfortable every day:

1. Stand ¼ inch Taller – Just imagine yourself slightly taller—your spine straightens, chest opens, and tension in your neck and shoulders begins to release.
2. Stretch Your Chest – Slouching tightens the chest. Open it up daily to restore posture and reduce upper body stiffness.
3. Align Your Pelvis When Sitting – Good sitting starts at the base of your spine. Adjust your pelvis to support a healthy spinal curve and prevent low back strain.

💡 Injured? Don’t let simple mistakes slow down your recovery!
Many people delay healing by doing the wrong things after an injury—here are 7 common mistakes to avoid:

✔ Ignoring the Pain – If it lasts more than a day or two, it’s usually not “just sore muscles.”
✔ Waiting Too Long – Small problems, when unattended to, can become bigger problems that are harder to fix.  Early chiropractic assessment and care can prevent chronic problems.
✔ Pushing Too Hard, Too Soon – Rushing back can make things worse – recovering tissues are still vulnerable to re-injury if you push too hard, too soon.
✔ Too Much Rest – Movement is medicine.  Follow your recovery plan as recommended by your chiropractor.
✔ Poor Nutrition – Healing requires fuel. Eat the proper foods for repair: protein, vitamins, omega-3s.
✔ Overdrinking – Alcohol slows healing and dehydrates your body.  Moderation is always key.  Too much is too much.
✔ Negative Mindset – Stay positive. Focus on progress, not just setbacks.

Hip pain can limit mobility and affect daily activities, but what’s really causing it?

Here are some of the most common reasons behind hip discomfort:
1⃣ Spinal Misalignment – A misaligned lower spine can put pressure on nerves, leading to hip pain.
2⃣ Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Dysfunction – Poor posture and prolonged sitting can irritate these joints, causing pain in the back of the hips.
3⃣ Leg Length Discrepancy – A tilted pelvis or an actual short leg can create an imbalance and strain the hips.

🌱 Gardening in the Spring is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, but don’t forget to protect your body!

As spring arrives, many of us are eager to get back into the garden! However, after a long and mostly inactive winter, most of us become too active, too soon. Before you start, make sure to follow these 10 essential tips to prepare for Spring gardening and prevent aches and pains:

1️⃣ Warm up – Stretch your back, legs, shoulders, and wrists before you start.
2️⃣ Breathe slowly and deeply – Provide your muscles with the oxygen they need.
3️⃣ Avoid carrying heavy items by yourself – Ask for help. If alone, lift with your legs, or use a wheelbarrow/dolly.
4️⃣ Use the right tools – Choose cushioned grips and the correct sizes to avoid strain.
5️⃣ Kneel instead of bending – If you need to stay low, use knee pads or a small stool.
6️⃣ Vary your tasks – Switch activities often to avoid straining one area of your back.

✔ Sit properly when studying or gaming – 🪑 Keep your back against the chair and feet flat on the floor. Be sure to line up the top of your screen with your eye level to avoid bending your neck too far up or down.

😴 Plan to get enough sleep – Your body heals and recovers best with proper rest.
