Finishing treatment is a huge milestone, but building a purposeful life in recovery often includes finding meaningful work. At Discovery House, our Links to Employment Program supports clients with resources to explore new vocational opportunities and strengthen current employment skills.

From education and job search support to vocational training and access to material resources, our trained staff guide clients every step of the way. It’s about building confidence, skills, and independence in recovery.

The holidays are supposed to be relaxing… but we all know that’s not usually the case. 🎄

Stress, old habits, and unexpected triggers can pop up, sometimes out of nowhere. One small thing you can do? Pick one moment each day to ground yourself. It could be a walk outside, a quick chat with someone you trust, or even jotting down what’s on your mind.

Little steps like these add up, and they remind you that even in the chaos, you still have control. And while you’re taking those moments for yourself, remember it’s okay to reach out and lean on your community; they can help you carry the load and make the season a little lighter.

Tomorrow’s the night! ✨ Our 9th Annual Shed the Light on Addiction is happening Saturday, Dec 13th, from 4–6 PM.

The holidays can be tough. They can also be loud and overwhelming, full of expectations and stress, or quiet and lonely, sometimes both. And if you’re in recovery, it can hit even harder.

It helps to have someone to talk to, a safe space where you can be honest and connect with people who understand what you’re going through. Our Individual Counselling and Group Support Program offers that space, support, guidance and a reminder that you don’t have to face it all alone.

Some nights, a little light can mean everything. ✨ This December, you can help shine hope for men in recovery.
