As we come to the end of the year, we are taking a moment to reflect on what this community has made possible. These photos tell that story. They represent patients, families, healthcare teams, and a community that continues to show up with compassion and heart. None of it happens without you.

Andrea, Ian’s wife, was scheduled to work Christmas Day at Penticton Regional Hospital, so Ian and the kids packed up Christmas dinner and brought it to the hospital so they could be together. Just family, food, and a few moments carved out in the middle of a shift.

It’s a reminder of what so many healthcare workers and their families do every year. Holidays don’t stop. Patients still need care. And families adapt, finding small ways to make the day special.

To everyone working through the holidays, and to the families who support them, thank you. Your sacrifices matter, and they do not go unnoticed.

As the year comes to a close, we want to pause and say thank you.

Because of your kindness and support, families in our community are receiving care closer to home, when they need it most. Your generosity makes a real difference, not just in equipment or programs, but in moments that matter to people you may never meet.

Thanks to you, we were able to complete the Oncology Centre and open the Colleen Schneider Walk-In Clinic, bringing vital care and peace of mind to our region.

This community is amazing!
This year’s GivingTuesday campaign raised more than $830,000 to strengthen healthcare across the South Okanagan and Similkameen.

Together, we’re helping bring an Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and new Echocardiogram machine to Penticton Regional Hospital and moving closer to our $2 million goal at South Okanagan General Hospital in Oliver—supporting new ultrasound and X-ray equipment and staff housing.
