The Active Path We are a health care facility focussed on bridging the gap between doctors (health) and typical methods of training/sports (fitness).

We help you begin, take back control of or continue your health and fitness journey when you have individual needs and goals and are frustrated trying everything else without seeing success. Our focus is on each individual client and what they need for an improved life. We aim to work with other professionals in the Health Care industry as well as other training facilities to get people exactly where they want to and need to be. We are education, assessment and coaching based, offering personal training, group classes and lifestyle development education. Our mission is to change the landscape of health care by providing doctor's with professional and reliable training for their patients as they move back into their lives and also to provide solutions to those with active lifestyles to continue doing what they love before they need to set foot in a doctor's office.

It has become far too easy to hold everyone else to higher standard than yourself.

- Do you tell your kids to get outside or to go play and you never join them?

Welcome to The Active Path!

Are you lost in your health and fitness journey?

- Maybe life has thrown you a bit off track and now you don’t know where to begin?

Our goals may be great as the ‘X’ on a map but knowing the location of the ‘X’ is not enough to get you there or even reason enough to do it in the first place.

- How can you begin?
- How will you make your way there?
..then even knowing and executing on all of that, what changes once you hit that goal?

How can you guarantee a transformation?

Have a plan.
Have a system.

A goal changes your life only for that moment.
A system leads to true transformation because it is ongoing.

A system builds on the small improvements.
It is the daily tasks that consistently engage us and processes that make us happy and keep us satisfied.
With a system there is no downside to reaching the goal because you are living it in each moment.
Instead of jumping to reach that accomplishment, it now becomes about endless refinement.

Systems will help you form small habits to set the trajectory of your life.

You’ll never fix it unless you agree that it’s your problem to fix.

If you’re not willing to own something, you’re not going to do anything about it.

How often do you wash or vacuum a rental car?

Never.

Why?

It’s not yours.

It’s not your problem.

Well....your body isn’t like a rental car. You don’t rent it. You own it.

And guess what? Your body doesn’t care whether or not it was you, another person, or society that led you to where you currently are.

No one else is going to solve your problems.

So what do you do?

Own it. All of it.

Own the pain, the discomfort, the fear, the injustice. Everything. Own it all.

Shoulder it like you caused it with your own hands and set yourself free from the expectation of getting rescued.
Rescue yourself.

Does that mean that rescuing yourself will have to be alone?

Absolutely not.

But it DOES mean that you have to first decide to rescue yourself. Then…ask for guidance on how exactly you should go about doing that.

No direction, no plan and no motivation?

For Ryan, having a plan has been the key to his success.
Ryan has been committed to his journey now for over 2 years (yes, even through lockdowns he kept going with what he had at home; bags of books, bodyweight exercises and a strong mindset kept him progressing).

Without mindset and a plan there is no direction and no success.

What are your goals?
What are your limitations?
What other factors are holding you back from achieving those goals?
How do your limitations prevent you from being able to begin the process?

How can you address all of that?

Easy, find a gym that creates the right plan for you, based on assessment of your specific needs and wants, that has professional coaches who coach as a career.

The way your body feels today is a result of your habits.

Take a moment to think about the way your body feels RIGHT NOW.

Do you feel supple and ready to move at a moment's notice in any direction, quickly or slowly?

Do you feel stiff and tired?

Do you feel light on your feet?

Are you in constant pain that fluctuates with movement?

Do you feel confident in your body and your ability to express yourself physically?

If you're not satisfied with the way your body feels, that’s largely due to your habits.

Little by little, the daily things we do pile up.

Sitting at a desk or in a car most of the day takes its toll.

Rarely getting sunlight makes you feel poorly.

Not exercising and putting your muscles and cardiovascular system under stress makes them weak and vulnerable to injury and disease.

If you want to change the way you feel, you need to start with your habits.

Looking for a new lacrosse ball or massage gun every time you get injured won’t solve anything.

It’ll just mask the pain long enough for you to get used to it.

Searching desperately for a “holy grail” supplement is a wild goose chase created by brilliant marketers, not a solution.

Your habits are the building blocks for your lifestyle, and if you want your lifestyle to be active and pain-free, that’s where you need to start.
