The Hospice Hub, that supports the Perth, Smith Falls and surrounding community offers a wonderful free day program for our clients. It's a weekly, supportive "day away" for individuals with life-threatening illnesses, providing social interaction, therapeutic activities, a wonderful lunch and nursing care in a home-like setting.

We are in need of a few items to help make our day program more complete. If any one has "nesting tables" - (not with a large surface), that would hold a glass/cup of coffee and would be willing to donate, please reach out to our Day Hospice/Program Coordinator at: dhcoordinator@thehospicehub.ca.

We are always in need of craft supplies as we have activities for our clients each week. If you have any craft supplies that you would like to donate - we would again be very appreciative.

In both cases please reach out to: dhcoordinatar@thehospicehub.ca and we will arrange to pick up any items you may have.

It’s official, registration is now OPEN for the 3rd Annual HIKE for Hospice, presented by Canadian Tire in Perth & Smiths Falls 🎉

We already have 2 teams and 8 solo walkers signed up… have you registered yet?

Join us on Sunday, May 24, 2026 starting at the Crystal Palace in Perth:
• Registration & check-in: 9:30 AM
• Hike (Walk/Run) begins: 11:00 AM

This year’s route will begin at the Crystal Palace and finish at Bridge Masters Brewing Company, where participants can celebrate their accomplishment together. Enjoy food, snacks, and “Hops for Hospice” beverages will be available for purchase, with proceeds from Hops for Hospice beverage
supporting the cause.

🚶‍♀️ This season our Grief and Bereavement program is offering two walking groups, one in Perth and one in Smiths Falls. 🚶

These weekly walking groups are a soothing and healthy way to talk about your experiences, in the company of skilled facilitators and walkers who have also gone through loss. Or, you can just walk and be quiet, and enjoy the outdoors and the presence of caring people.

Walking groups are every Wednesday starting at 10am for about an hour, and are suitable for various fitness levels.

Pull out your plaid, grab your favourite people, and get ready to PARTY at the Festival of the Maples 50th Anniversary MapleFest Plaid Party in support of The Hospice Hub! Join us at The Crystal Palace in Perth on Saturday, April 25, 2026 for a high-energy night filled with music, dancing, and incredible community spirit.

Our Day Program in Smiths Falls is accepting new clients for May 2026! This free program is designed for individuals living with a progressive, life-limiting or life-threatening illness.

Under the leadership of a Registered Nurse Coordinator and a dedicated team of highly trained, compassionate volunteers, the Day Hospice Program provides clients with a day away from their usual medical routines. In a home-like setting, clients can connect with others, participate in social activities, and enjoy a supportive space outside the home. Caregivers also benefit from the program by having time to rest and focus on self-care, knowing their loved one is well supported.

All services are provided at no cost, and transportation may be available when possible.
