Hearts for Hospice is officially live!

We’re inviting the amazing crafters in our community to knit or crochet handmade hearts, which will be shared for a donation in support of THH’s services and programs. Any colour, any pattern, and any size (under 4") will be gratefully accepted.

All funds raised support THH’s community programs and services which are provided at no cost to participants.

Drop off locations include Smiths Falls Public Library and Rideau Lakes Public Library branches: South Elmsley, Portland and Elgin; with more locations being added in the coming days.

There's no better day than Valentine's Day to announce our new ❤ Hearts for Hospice ❤ mini-campaign! All funds raised support THH’s community programs and services which are provided at no cost to participants.

‼️Reminder - Our new Grief & Bereavement Reading Circle begins Sunday, February 22.

Each month we will read and discuss a book on the topic of grief and bereavement. Experience thoughtful sharing in a supportive environment, while learning from a variety of different perspectives.

February's Book: The Grieving Brain, by Mary-Frances O'Connor, PhD
The last Sunday of every month, from 1-3 pm, starting Sunday February 22, 2026.
Location will alternate between Perth and Smiths Falls.

Pre-registration for each monthly Sunday is required by emailing bereavement@thehospicehub.ca; details of location will be given upon registration.

Join us in February & March at Perth & District Union Public Library as we delve into The Six Universal Needs of Mourning. The six needs of mourning will help give you the momentum you need to not only survive but eventually thrive again.

Over the next 7 weeks, our amazing participants will be staying active and collecting donations in support of The Hospice Hub—helping ensure compassionate care is available when it’s needed most.

The Hospice Hub proudly supports our community through vital programs and services at no cost which include Day Hospice, Home Support, and Grief & Bereavement Services, serving Smiths Falls, Perth, Lanark, Rideau Lakes, Westport, and surrounding areas.

Aloha from Day Hospice!

This week, we brought a little piece of Hawaii to Day Hospice! With refreshing tropical drinks in hand, our guests spent the morning creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind haku leis, each one as unique as the person who made it.

There was laughter, creativity, and a sense of calm connection as hands worked with flowers and greenery, sharing stories along the way. Mahalo for a truly lovely day!
