We’ve just wrapped up our Home Alone / Stay Safe class with a great group of kids who are eager to show their parents how responsible and ready they are to stay home on their own. Along the way they learned about fire safety, basic first aid skills, tricky people, and how to make safe choices when they’re on their own. They even have a list of safe and fun ways to keep themselves busy! 🎨🎼🎮🧩🎲🥣📚

Be prepared for significant amounts of freezing rain and rain, starting late Tuesday, March 10th. Accumulations will vary, but any amounts of ice build-up could lead to treacherous travel conditions on Wednesday. If you do have to be on the road, ensure you remove all the ice from your vehicle, top up your windshield washer fluid, SLOW DOWN and adjust your driving. Avoid sudden stops or turns. For updated road conditions before you go, check 511on.ca, and monitor local radio stations while you’re driving. Oh, expect snow later in the week and on the weekend.
