Our residents recently enjoyed a special Spring Equinox celebration with the children from Nature Root Childcare. Together, they welcomed the new season through creativity and connection, spending the morning painting, sharing smiles, and enjoying time together.

This week, we were thrilled to welcome back Chef Alex for another fantastic Diner’s Club at SJF! 🍳✨
Residents enjoyed a delicious brunch featuring eggs Benedict paired with fresh fruit salad. It was a wonderful morning filled with great food, good company, and lots of smiles - truly a delicious day enjoyed by everyone! 😋💛

Our Armchair Travel program took us to the Emerald Isle yesterday! 🇮🇪
Residents enjoyed Irish music, beautiful scenery, great conversation and a sweet treat of Irish cream brownies to top it all off. What a lovely trip, no passport needed! 🍀💚

🍀A Little Late, But Worth the Wait!🍀

We had such a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day celebration here at SJF and we couldn’t resist sharing the joy - even if we're a few days behind! Our residents went all in on the green spirit with fun festive swag, sweet treats, and even a few St. Paddy’s-themed tattoos to top it all off. 💚✨

The smiles, laughter, and shamrock sparkle made the day something truly special.

We’re proud to celebrate our amazing Social Worker, Marrie Rappos, whose compassion, expertise, and dedication make a lasting impact on our residents and their families every single day.
Marrie is an essential part of our team, guiding residents through life’s transitions, supporting emotional well‑being, and offering compassionate assistance during challenging personal or family moments. From mental health support and grief and loss, to consent and capacity, family dynamics, and connecting residents with community resources, Marrie ensures that everyone feels heard, supported, and empowered.

We are truly grateful for the care, advocacy, and leadership Marrie brings to our long‑term care home. This month, and every month, we thank her for her unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve. 💛
