Helping expectant parents feel confident and prepared for birth and life with a newborn ❤️

In movies, you often see a woman’s water breaking dramatically with a large gush of fluid and then she rushes to the hospital and has her baby right away… but that’s not always the case! 😂

The reality is that it is not very common to have your water break as your very first sign of labour. Typically, contractions will begin first and the water breaks later on.

You also may have a large gush of fluid, or it might be more of a trickle that feels like you peed your pants 💧

Save this video for later or send to a friend who is pregnant so that they have a better idea of what to expect!

Starting solids? The guidance has changed 👇

For years, parents were told to delay common allergens like peanut, egg, and fish to prevent allergies…

We now know the opposite is true.

✨ Current evidence shows:
Introducing common allergens early (around 6 months) and continuing them regularly can actually reduce the risk of developing food allergies.

So what does that look like in real life?

✔️ Start solids around 6 months (when baby is showing signs of readiness)
✔️ Introduce common allergens like egg, peanut, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, wheat, soy (and dairy!)
✔️ Offer them in safe, age-appropriate forms
✔️ Keep them in rotation - ideally a few times per week

Monitor for signs of an allergic reaction and be sure to talk to your doctor for specific recommendations for your baby ❤️

Save this for later and share with a parent who’s starting solid soon! 🥜

When I previously worked as a labour and delivery nurse, it was so clear to me which partners were prepared and which weren’t.

The prepared partners stayed calm, asked thoughtful questions, and knew which coping strategies could help at different stages of labour. They weren’t just standing by, unsure of how to help.

Their support can make a powerful difference- helping their labouring partner relax and trust their body to do what it needs to do.

Expecting mom? You might feel ready- but make sure your partner is too!!

If you both want to feel confident heading into birth and life with a newborn, message me “prep” to learn how I can help you navigate it as a team ❤️

This review meant so much to me ❤️

If you’re feeling unsure about spending a full day in a prenatal class… I get it. It can sound like a lot.

That’s exactly why my prenatal classes are designed to be interactive, hands-on, and actually fun 🤩🙌🏻

We mix in activities and practice throughout so you’re not just sitting and listening- you’re learning in a way that sticks 👌

And there’s always time for your personal questions, so you leave feeling prepared, not overwhelmed 😊

Our next group prenatal classes are coming up on April 26th and May 23rd- pick the date that works best for you and your partner 💛

Message me “READY” to save your spot!

I promise, they don’t care 🤷‍♀️

1. If you 💩… it happens! More than you may think. But it doesn’t phase your nurse at all so please don’t be worried about it.

2. Body hair 🪒… doesn’t matter at all. I promise! Whatever hair you have is completely okay.

3. What noises you make 💥… you don’t need to be quiet or ‘put together’ in labour. You just need to be you- and whatever sounds come out are welcome.

4. What you’re wearing👙 … a gown, comfy clothes or nothing-choose what is best for you. Keep in mind that you may want to wear something with easy access for your team to provide your care.

Did you worry about any of these? Let me know in the comments below to reassure another expecting parent 🫶🏻

✨ Here’s your sign! ✨

In a one day prenatal class, we cover everything new parents worry about: what happens at the hospital, labour coping strategies, how your partner can support you, feeding, soothing, sleep, and more so that you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Connect with other expecting parents, learn hands-on skills, and get excited for what’s ahead! 💕

Next classes: April 26 & May 23. Save your spot through the link in my bio ☺️🙌🏻

Parents- do you relate? 😂😂

In all seriousness…pregnancy can be uncomfortable, unpredictable, and a lot on your body. It’s okay to slow down (and maybe just get take out) ❤️

Liking every positive birth story so the algorithm knows what to show me 🤍

Expecting parents- what you consume daily matters more than you might think❗️

The stories you hear, the videos you watch, the experiences you’re exposed to…they all shape how you feel about birth.

And we know that fear can be learned, but so can confidence! ✨

When we go into birth feeling fearful, our bodies hold more tension → and that tension can actually make contractions feel more intense.

This is something I talk about a lot in my prenatal classes because preparing for birth isn’t just physical… it’s mental too 🤍

Vitamin D helps with healthy bone development and calcium absorption, but breast milk doesn’t provide enough on its own.

And while sunlight helps us make vitamin D, we avoid direct sun for little ones- so a liquid supplement is the safest choice.

Give your baby 400 IU of vitamin D:
✅ once a day
✅ either directly in baby’s mouth or as a drop on your ni**le during a feed

Save this for later or send to a parent who could use this information! ☀️
