If the pace of life has left your soul feeling weary, consider this a sacred pause to call your spirit back.

Join us for an evening of self-love, blending the stillness of restorative yoga with the ancient practice of Marma Massage and the gentle healing of Reiki.

As you settle into deeply supportive postures, we will use soft, intuitive touch to stimulate 3-4 of your body’s vital Marma points—the intersections where mind, body, and emotions meet. This massage acts as a bridge to the nervous system, shifting you into a deeply restful state.

Infused with the gentle flow of Reiki, this experience invites your nervous system to shed its armour and your mind to find its center. Grounded in the truth of your own self-worth, you are invited to let go of the need to ‘fix’ anything. Here, the only requirement is to be present, to be felt, and to remember who you are beneath the noise.

Are you new to yoga? Nervous about giving it a try or not sure what to expect?

When you “enter” a yoga class, people will likely be lying down, stretching, or sitting quietly with their eyes closed.

We recommend using this time to stretch out a few areas your body really needs, or to relax and soak in a few extra minutes of “you” time!

The instructor will guide you through movements, poses, and breathing techniques – it’s always your choice to participate in any of them, or relax in a different position.

They will also provide props or modifications to the poses so that people of any ability can safely enjoy the pose's benefits.

Yoga classes always end with “savasana”, which means “corpse pose”. Physically, you lie down on your back or in any comfortable position. The goal is not to let your mind wander, but to focus on one thing (e.g., your breath or a mantra). You may also use your savasana to sink into deep relaxation, almost a dream-like state that is very restorative and a great antidote to our busy modern lifestyle! Your instructor will guide you into this. Savasana usually lasts 3 to 10 minutes.

All yoga classes provide a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. In fact, many students close their eyes during parts of class to help develop their body awareness. (So, no one is watching you that closely!)

Yoga also teaches “non-attachment”. Students are encouraged to notice what’s going on inside and outside themselves, and to let that observation go without forming opinions.

Any yoga class can be as gentle or as challenging as you make it. The amazing thing about yoga, which sets it apart from other workouts, is that if you feel tired or weak that day, you are encouraged to step out of a pose and relax.

There are many different styles of yoga, ranging from gentle and relaxing to vigorous and sweaty. The best thing to do is try different styles until you find the one that works best for you.

This 90-minute yoga and sound experience is for anyone craving a deeper sense of presence, calm, and connection. Guided through an intentional Hatha practice with live, improvised violin, you’ll be invited to slow down, soften your nervous system, and move in rhythm with breath and sound. The extended time allows space to truly arrive, unwind, and integrate, ending with a meditation and sound bath that leaves you feeling grounded, open, and deeply restored.

Haunting, mesmerizing and inspiring... Victoria Yeh's music come from the heart. A celebrated violinist who has toured the country from coast-to-coast-to-coast, Victoria is delighted to hold space at Willow Studio to entwine her lifelong love for the violin with her devotion to the practice of Yoga. 1. What’s one small daily ritual that supports your wellness?

Meditation, without question. It’s a true non-negotiable for me. It grounds my nervous system and keeps me aligned so I can lead, teach, and parent from my highest self.

2. What synchronicities or little “signs from the universe” light you up?

Repeating numbers. I notice them all the time. They feel like little reminders that I’m on the right path and that things are unfolding exactly as they’re meant to.

3. What’s one common misconception about yoga you love to bust?

That you need to be flexible or “good at it” to begin. You don’t. You don’t need to look a certain way, move a certain way, or achieve anything at all. All that’s required is curiosity and an open mind. Yoga isn’t just a physical practice, it’s an exploration of self.

4. What’s your dream destination?

French Polynesia — Bora Bora. It’s a dream of mine to stay in an over-water bungalow, swim in a turquoise lagoon, and be immersed in the beauty of that kind of paradise.

5. What’s one simple joy that lights you up?

A warm chocolate chip cookie. Truly everything.

Yoga, Fitness and Pilates in Peterborough’s West End

While Willow provides high quality yoga, Pilates and fitness classes for all stages and abilities, we’re experts in movement for pregnancy, postpartum, 50+ and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Our pre-registered class model means that you pay upfront for a set of 7 weekly classes, allowing you to carve out time for self-care. Once you’ve scheduled it in, it's easier to honour that commitment and get to class each week. Have to miss a class? We offer up to two complimentary make ups.

We run six 7-week sessions throughout the year, with some break weeks in-between. You choose a class that fits your schedule and goals, and commit to that class each week for 7 weeks.
