We are thrilled to add Vanessa to the PhysioHouse Team! “With a passion for movement and recovery, I am excited to begin my career as a Physiotherapy Resident at PhysioHouse Picton and Wellington. As a graduate candidate from Queen’s University (MSc PT 2024) I have been equipped with the latest techniques and interventions in physiotherapy.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Nipissing University in Physical and Health Education in 2022. During my time at Nipissing I also played on the varsity basketball team where I developed an interest in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention.

I am eager to contribute to the local community where I grew up. I will be offering personalized, evidence-based care to help individuals of all ages and activity levels recover from an injury, manage chronic pain, and get back to the activities they want to be doing!

In my free time I enjoy spending time at the beach, being active at the gym, and coaching basketball”

We are happy to welcome physiotherapist Sarah to the PhysioHouse Picton Team! Sarah will be with us every Monday and Wednesday starting March 4th

Sarah grew up in Prince Edward county and after she graduated from PECI went on to the University of Ottawa to earn her Health Science Degree. After getting a job working as a Physiotherapy Assistant in her second year, she knew a career in Physiotherapy was for her. She graduated from Queens University in 2017 and has been practicing in Kingston, Ontario and raising two beautiful babies. She’s very proud and excited to be bringing her practice back to Prince Edward County with the Physio House team. She can’t wait to help her patients achieve their physiotherapy goals using hands on techniques like manual therapy, soft tissue, and acupuncture, as well as exercise prescription.

We also offer Chiropractic Care! Meet Dr. Carly Wilson:

Dr. Wilson is passionate about patient centered health care. She grew up in Prince Edward County, attending school at PECI where she discovered her love of athletics. It was this passion that led her to McMaster University, where she completed her B.Sc. in Kinesiology with a minor in anthropology in 2015. From there, she furthered her education by obtaining her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2019.
During her internship, Dr. Wilson was selected to work at Sherbourne Health Center in downtown Toronto, where she helped homeless, underhoused and LGBTQ+ patients, and participated in the GLA:D program, where she gained experience treating patients with knee and hip osteoarthritis. Dr. Wilson is trained in functional acupuncture and in her final year at school she won the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board Award for academic success.
In the years since her graduation, she travelled the world and assisted in ergonomic assessment and training for companies in the United States. Dr. Wilson looks forward to using her cutting-edge knowledge and techniques to help patients live pain free and get back to the activities they love to do.

Have you met our talented physiotherapist Jonathan?

Jonathan's practice focuses on hands-on therapies such as manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling and deep tissue release. He designs individualized exercise programs to target the underlying causes of pain. After beginning his career at a leading physiotherapy clinic in downtown Toronto, Jonathan moved to Northwestern Ontario where he treated patients with complex needs in remote communities. Having completed his dissertation on the topic of chronic pain and completing a course to become a certified pain truth practitioner, Jonathan takes a unique approach to chronic pain treatment. He and his family have made the move to Prince Edward County and joined the remarkable team at Physiohouse Picton.

Have you met our amazing massage therapist Devon?

Devon graduated from the Registered Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College in 2019. Prior to attending Algonquin College he graduated from St Lawrence with his diploma in Fitness and Health.

He is a lifelong learner and has continued with his education getting his certifications in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Functional Range Assessment (FRA), and Functional Range Release Upper Limb (FR). In addition to his clinical experience during his studies at Algonquin College he has three years of experience working as a physio therapy assistant at Picton Physio Therapy Clinic. He will be continuously seeking beneficial courses and opportunities to help expand his knowledge so he can provide the most suitable treatment to each of his clients.

Devon is an active member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario.
