📣We are bringing the Northern Zone Mobile Health and Wellness Team back to the CHC for Nurse Practitioner Clinic's! 👩‍⚕️💉

📅The team will be at our location on January 12th & 26th, February 9th, March 9th & 23rd, April 20th and May 4th, between 10am - 2pm

Appointments will be on a fist come, first serve basis. Please bring your Nova Scotia Health Card.

Drop in today at the New Glasgow Library meet with Jaclyn, our tech trainer. She can help you with your new Christmas technology, show you how to set up your first email account, or get you started with a word processor so you can build a new resume for the new year! She is here every Tuesday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, call for an appointment or drop in and take your chances!

♨️ Did you know these supports were in our community to help those in need of heating their homes?

1️⃣ The Heating Rebate Assistance Program applications, also known as HARP, opened in October to those who are eligible. If you meet the requirements, you could receive a one-time payment of $400 to go towards heating costs.
You must have a single net income of $30, 000 or less, or a combined household income of $45, 000 or less.
If you receive Income Assistance or the Guaranteed Income Supplement, you are eligible.
Applications are open until March 2026.

2️⃣ The Pictou County Fuel Fund offers assistance to those who are in urgent need of support for their home heating costs, and heat their homes with wood, wood pellets or propane.

3️⃣ Salvation Army Home Energy Assistance Top-up (HEAT Fund) for those who are low income in need of emergency assistance to heat their home. Applications open in January.
