✨ Introducing Shockwave Therapy at PMW! ✨

Shockwave therapy uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. It helps improve blood flow, break down stubborn scar tissue, and encourage tissue repair in areas that have been slow to heal.
This treatment is commonly used for conditions such as:
• Plantar fasciitis
• Tennis or golfer’s elbow
• Achilles tendinopathy
• Shoulder pain
• Chronic muscle or tendon injuries
Shockwave therapy is non-invasive, requires no downtime, and treatments are quick (usually just a few minutes).
Our physiotherapists and chiropractors are now offering shockwave therapy as part of your personalized care plan.
If you’ve been dealing with a stubborn injury that just won’t settle down, shockwave therapy might be worth exploring.

Do you self-stretch? - otherwise known as “crack your neck” or “crack your own back”?
❌STOP DOING THIS WITH FORCE!!!

When you forcefully twist or bend your joints you’re not helping yourself long term. That’s why you feel the need to repeat multiple times a day.

✅Try these gentle stretches for 30 seconds each instead!

Dr. Casey’s got 3 tips for you to reduce your back pain while standing at your work desk! 💻

1️⃣ Have your desk height in line with your arms - not reaching up or down for the keyboard

2️⃣ Keep your elbows at about 90° directly under your shoulders

3️⃣ Stand staggered to have a light stretch in your hip flexors to take pressure off your low back

Try it out and leave your feedback or questions!💬

Holiday foods can be enjoyable and gentle on the gut. For individuals who experience IBS or general digestive discomfort, this time of year can sometimes feel a bit more challenging.

A few simple strategies can help support gut comfort during the holiday season:
• Keep fibre and hydration consistent
• Festive tea blends with ginger or peppermint can be soothing for the gut
• Aim for regular meals throughout the day
• Try cooked vegetables if raw options tend to cause discomfort

If digestive symptoms feel more noticeable during the holidays, Jennifer is here to help. She offers in-person appointments at Pitt Meadows Wellness, with limited virtual options available upon request.

Wishing everyone a comfortable and nourishing holiday season. 🍊
