🔺This test could save your feet!🔺

That little nylon filament your medical footcare nurse touches to your skin?

It’s a calibrated medical instrument.

It helps detect nerve damage early: before you feel pain, before infections, before it’s too late.

Losing sensation doesn’t happen overnight, but prevention starts today.

Ingrown or involuted nail?

You don’t have to choose pain to fix it.
Onyfix is a non-surgical, pain-free nail correction system.

A light-cured composite is applied to the nail plate to guide growth back to its natural shape, easing pressure on the nail folds and relieving pain, without cutting or bracing.

Safe for diabetics and sensitive skin.

Clean isn’t enough, clinical is the standard.

In medical foot care, your safety depends on a high-grade, Health Canada–approved sterilizer and strict protocols.

That means:

Validated cycles (time/temperature/pressure) for every load
Biological & chemical indicators to confirm sterility
Sealed, dated pouches—opened in front of you
Documented tracking*from sterilizer to patient

This is how we prevent cross-contamination and protect vulnerable clients, including seniors and people with diabetes.

✅️ Case Study

🏥 Diabetic Patient:

This patient presented with very thick fungal nails and shoe pressure causing pain, limiting mobility.

He has neuropathy (reduced sensation) and poor circulation, a risky combo because pressure can create hidden wounds that may not heal well, increasing the risk of infection and, in severe cases, amputation.

✅️ What we did:
▪️Debridement to safely reduce nail thickness and remove fungal load
This allows antifungal medication to reach the nail bed more effectively.
▪️Reviewed footwear fit to reduce pressure points
▪️Set a follow-up schedule and daily checks

✅️ Why this matters for people with diabetes
▪️Low sensation = wounds can go unnoticed
▪️Poor circulation = slower healing

✅️ Early, professional medical foot care lowers complication risk

If you live with diabetes and notice changes in your nails or feet, book a clinical foot-care visit for assessment and prevention.

🦶🏼Amputations don’t happen overnight, BUT lack of education makes them more likely.

Too many people are prescribed meds for high blood sugar but never taught the basics: how carbs impact glucose, how to monitor, what warning signs to watch for.

One day it’s a small issue… the next, it’s a crisis.

🔺Why education matters ...

• High blood sugars damage nerves and circulation → wounds don’t heal, infection risk rises, amputation risk skyrockets.

• Carbs (bread, pasta, rice, sweets, even fruit) raise blood sugar—your response is personal. Tracking (e.g., a continuous glucose monitor) helps you learn what your body does.

• The strongest prevention tools: keep sugars in range, eat a balanced plate, and stay active.

✨ Knowledge is prevention. Care for your feet. Care for your health.

Healthy Feet = Strong Roots 🌱
How will you maintain or regain function for 2026?

Imagine a tree growing freely in nature—its roots spread wide, providing stability, strength, and resilience. Now, picture a tree confined in a small pot—its roots restricted, limiting its growth and weakening its foundation.

Our feet are no different! As children, we start with naturally wide, strong feet, but years of restrictive footwear can alter their shape, weaken muscles, and affect overall function.

Just like a tree needs space to grow strong roots, our feet need freedom to maintain their natural strength and structure.

🔸 Choose footwear that respects natural foot shape.
🔸 Train your feet for strength and mobility.
🔸 Let your toes spread and move freely.

Give your feet the freedom they deserve—because strong feet create a strong foundation for movement!

🔺The best defense against toenail fungus?
✅️ Prevention and consistent upkeep.

Fungus loves warmth, moisture, and shared surfaces. Cut your risk and avoid relapse:

✅️ Daily prevention

Keep feet dry (especially between the toes).
Wear breathable socks; change them daily.
Rotate and air out shoes; use antifungal spray/powder.
Always wear sandals in pools, gyms, and public showers.
Trim nails straight across; disinfect your tools.

✅️ After treatment (to prevent it coming back)

Finish the full protocol—even if nails look better.
Disinfect/replace old socks and insoles; treat inside your shoes.
Schedule regular follow-up with me to monitor regrowth and reduce fungal load.
