One year down in my yoga teacher career, and what a journey of sweet lessons and spicy realities it’s been.

This past year taught me to soften my shoulders, steady my breath, and stand firmly in my truth. I’ve learned that the true essence of yoga is found not only in the perfect alignment of asana, but in the imperfect, messy beauty of self-acceptance and community connection.

I found foundation in my training, and the last 12 months allowed time for play. My style really feels like home and this year helped me discover that my rhythm doesn’t have to match the person next to me.

The sweetness is to witness students find peace on their mats and power in their practice. That in a world full of differences, the breath is our common ground.

I’ve learned that I don’t have to “mold” myself into the industry’s idea of a teacher and that I’m enough exactly as I am today. Ive found trust in the redirection that led me to this space.

This journey has just begun and its an incredible honor to be your guide. Thank you to everyone who has rolled out their mat with me!

Still learning, still growing, and definitely still spicy.🔥✨🤍

From January 8th to February 8th, I will be away to be with my family while we honor my grandmother’s well lived life. This unplanned trip will be followed up by some much needed time away for my partner and l, as we had travel plans already set and in motion.

Something that I often remind myself through hard moments is to allow my joy to match the depths of my grief. A constant duality to life.

To celebrate often and to love hard. To always remember that life is the ultimate gift, to be here and to be present with one another.

To remember that slowing down is not falling behind, only a tool to ensure I enjoy the life I am building. With that, after my week in Ontario, I will be trading screen time for sunshine.

This is my 2nd big trip away to somewhere tropical and I am so grateful to receive this experience. A humbled process of its own.

Sessions will resume when I’m back, grounded, present, and full. Thank you for honoring this rhythm with me🤍

Books are open and available online through to February 2026.

The calendar says New Year, and the earth says deep winter.

I know I am not alone with January 1st ‘reset’ often feeling so forced. It’s detached from the lunar and solar rhythms our bodies recognize.

Instead of forcing new habits, I choose to honor the natural rhythm of this season. A time of introspection and slow growth, and not a sprint to the finish line.

I give myself permission to pause, and honor my needs for stillness, warmth, and slow progress.

I trust that every season arrives to teach me balance.
lam at peace with who I am today, and I honor the journey that has brought me here.

Forget the “New Year, New Me” pressure. Step into 2026 with quiet confidence. Remember we’re allowed to start over as many times as we need. (I promise, nobody even checks
🙃🫶🏼)

May 2026 be comforting, warm, and full of the people you cherish most.✨🤍🌱

As we transition into winter, the body naturally turns inward.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Winter is the most Yin season, a time for stillness, introspection, and deep nourishment.
Winter belongs to the Water element and the Kidney system which stores our vital essence (Jing ).

Our body’s are built to adapt, and seasonal changes can still throw us off balance. Imbalances in the winter season can manifest as low back pain, weak knees, fatigue, joint stiffness, and heightened susceptibility to cold.

Shiatsu Therapy can support this seasonal shift. Rhythmic pressure and stretching along the body’s meridians, can help regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and balance the Water element’s energy.

The most helpful thing you can do is listen to your body. If one season feels more intense for you every year, that’s a sign to pay closer attention to how you’re moving through it.

Winter is not about doing less because you’re weak. It’s about restoring so you can thrive.

Ever wonder why a single pressure point can shift your whole body?

Reflexology and acupressure speak to the nervous system in ways words can’t. By working specific points, tension softens, energy flow improves, and the whole system begins to rebalance. It’s subtle work, but the shifts run deep. If you’re curious whether this could support you, i’m here to guide you.
