Cellulitis infection develops when there is a break in the skin through which bacteria can enter the body and pe*****te the underlying tissue. Individuals with diabetes, who abuse alcohol, who are under long-term corticosteroid treatment, or who have weak immune systems have a greater risk of developing cellulitis.

🦶 When cellulitis occurs in the foot of a person with diabetes, it is called diabetic foot.

👁️ When the infection is around the eye, it's known as periorbital cellulitis.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Becky Jiang. I am a pharmacist and owner of The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy located at 1146-1470 Prairie Avenue in Port Coquitlam, B.C. at Prairie Mall. My pharmacy has an intimate and friendly setting which allows me to get to know each patient and focus on their health needs.

I have 18 years of pharmacy experience in both community and hospital settings. I have worked in various pharmacy roles including: business owner, community pharmacist, clinical staff pharmacist (Internal Medicine, BC Cancer Agency), as well as a preceptor/practice facilitator for UBC pharmacy students.

I would like to take this opportunity to share some of the products & services I provide.

Professional Grade Supplements

I stock high-quality, therapeutic, evidence-based supplements that are preferred by health care professionals specializing in integrative, naturopathic and functional medicine. There is a high quality of control in sourcing their raw materials, formulating, and manufacturing of their supplements. These brands are also committed to the highest quality of care to patients that use their products.

Compression Stockings Therapy

I am a certified Sigvaris Compressions Stockings Fitter. I carry a variety of Sigvaris brand compression stockings for regular use with 15-20mmHg compression . Medical grade Sigvaris compression stockings (>20mmHg) can be ordered in after a proper fitting.

Vaccination Services

I am able to provide vaccinations free of charge for most publicly funded vaccinations (e.g. flu shots, tetanus, etc.). I also provide other vaccinations for travel and various other conditions (e.g. shingles, etc.) with direct billing to third party payers for coverage. There will be an injection fee for all private vaccinations.

Medication Reviews

I can provide medication reviews free of charge or for a fee to patients who may or may not qualify for the publicy funded Medication Review program.

Free Blister Packaging Service

To improve patient compliance, medications are organized by different times of the day using a specialized blister packaging system called Dispill. Patients are able to remove their doses for certain medications based on the time of day (i.e. breakfast, lunch, supper, bedtime) for ease of convenience.
