All Point 8 Training and Development programs are based on The New Game Plan model, developed by our President and Founder, Stephen Raghoobarsingh, MA, RCC. In 2001, Stephen first applied his revolutionary framework to the National Hockey League’s collective bargaining agreement in the book entitled, "The New Game Plan – Moving Towards A Common Goal". This specialized book used the NHL’s impending labour dispute to outline an innovative framework for professional sports leagues to follow. Stephen then followed up his first release with a second book entitled, The New Game Plan – Using Sports to Raise Happy, Healthy, and Successful Kids, in 2007. In this book, Stephen applies The New Game model to the field of coaching and sports parenting and provides coaches, parents, students, and athletes with breakthrough strategies to help build life skills through sport. Should we say something like: with proven success of developing better athletes on and off the field. Since the release of the second book and proven success developing better athletes both on and off the field, The New Game Plan model, due to its social interactional and psychological components, has been applied to various other fields. Currently, the New Game plan model is also being applied to the public school system, emergency services, corporate development, and health and wellness to name a few.
