In times of profound sorrow, we are reminded of how much we need one another. Hope for Freedom Society joins all British Columbians in mourning the tragic loss of life in Tumbler Ridge.
Our deepest compassion goes out to the families who have lost loved ones and to those navigating the long road of trauma and recovery. We are grateful for the first responders and healthcare workers providing care to the community right now.
Sending love, strength, and hope to the North. 🕊️

🤝 Building Connections, One Goal at a Time
Recovery is about community, and last night at the Vancouver Canucks game was the perfect example of that! 🏒✨
Hope for Freedom Society was proud to stand alongside our partners like Recovery Day BC and Last Door Recovery Society to raise awareness for mental health and addiction. Whether you were at the game or cheering from home, thank you for supporting the thousands of British Columbians walking the path of sobriety.
Seeing our mission of reuniting families and restoring lives represented on such a big stage is why we do what we do.

Three Years Strong 💪💜

Today we celebrate our amazing Women’s Intake Coordinator, Christie S. — pictured center — who marks three years clean and sober!

Christie’s journey is one of courage, resilience, and deep compassion. Every day, she brings hope and honesty to the women walking through our doors, showing them that recovery is not only possible — it’s powerful.

Her lived experience fuels her work, her heart leads her service, and her strength inspires us all. We’re so proud of you, Christie. Thank you for being a light in our community and a fierce advocate for healing.

**Three years. One day at a time. A lifetime of impact.**

"I couldn’t understand why I ended up in addiction and why I chose drugs over the beautiful life I had until I came to the Glory House at Hope for Freedom. Here I was given the space and opportunity to learn about myself and my addiction. As well as deal with my past, and find a way back to my son, family, and community." - Natasha, Glory House Graduate

Congrats to Natasha on rebuilding her beautiful life! We're so proud of her.

🌟 National Addictions Awareness Week 🌟

This week, we join communities across Canada in shining a light on the realities of addiction and the hope found in recovery. At Hope for Freedom Society, we believe that every person deserves dignity, support, and the chance to rebuild their life.

Addiction doesn’t discriminate—it touches families, workplaces, and neighborhoods. But together, we can break the stigma, open doors to healing, and stand alongside those who are struggling.

💙 Let’s use this week to:

• Listen with compassion
• Share stories of hope
• Advocate for resources and support
• Remind one another that recovery is possible

Your voice matters. Your support matters. Together, we can create a community where freedom and healing are within reach.

🇨🇦 Remembrance Day 2025

Today, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served—and continue to serve—our country in times of war, peacekeeping, and humanitarian aid.

At Hope for Freedom Society, we recognize that freedom is never free. It is built on the resilience of those who stood for justice, and the legacy of those who gave everything so others could live with dignity and hope.

We remember not only the fallen, but also the veterans who walk among us—some facing invisible battles, some rebuilding their lives. Their strength inspires our mission to support those overcoming adversity, addiction, and trauma.

Let us carry forward their spirit of service by lifting each other up, advocating for those in need, and building communities rooted in compassion.

🕯️ Lest we forget.

🍂🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Hope for Freedom Society 🦃🍂

This season, we pause with gratitude for the incredible community that surrounds us. Every day, we see lives changed through compassion, perseverance, and the belief that recovery and renewal are possible.

We are thankful for:

• The courage of the individuals we walk alongside on their journey to freedom.
• The dedication of our staff and volunteers who give their time and hearts.
• The generosity of donors, partners, and community members who make our work possible.

As we gather with family and friends, let’s remember those who are still struggling. Together, we can continue to build pathways of hope, healing, and belonging.

From all of us at Hope for Freedom Society, we wish you a safe, joyful, and meaningful Thanksgiving. 🧡
