I moved to Norfolk County in 1986, Deltasia was long closed. Do you remember this unique amusement park located on the outskirts of Delhi? Did you go there as a child? I am looking forward to the documentary about Deltasia by filmmaker Dean Rainey.

Great News for Personal Support Workers!

New Federal PSW Tax Credit

This is a new, temporary, refundable tax credit that the federal government is introducing.

Amount: The credit is calculated as 5% of eligible earnings, up to a maximum of $1,100 per year.

Eligibility: It is available to PSWs in Ontario.

Timing: Eligible workers can claim this credit when filing their tax returns for the 2026 tax year onwards.

Our Lions Food Truck crew was kept busy during our Thursday afternoon shift. The Norfolk County Fair continues through the Weekend including Thanksgiving Monday. Come on down and enjoy a Dixie Dog or Fresh Cut Fries!

Susan enjoyed a few moments with 102 Yr. old Antonia (Toni). Toni's main take on life, 'A little hard work won't hurt you.' Toni still lives on her own, maintains a garden and makes her own bread. Truly an inspiration for healthy ageing.

Phil and Marie held the 3rd Port Dover Ball Hockey Tournament over this past very hot humid weekend. Besides plenty of hydration available for fans and players there was ice cream provided by Breyer's of Friday. On Saturday afternoon the kids were thrilled to have the Norfolk Fire Department provide a cooling spray of water and gave out Fire Fighter hats! On Sunday Finals day they had water balloon contests. The kids had a blast and the community was there in full support. Thanks to everyone who made this weekend a great success.

Happy Fathers Day! I think my Father would have liked my small garden. It is just the right size for my stage of life. A few Tomatoes, Hot Peppers, Basil, Oregano, Parsley and Garlic. My garlic looks robust, almost ready to harvest. Everything you need to make a good 100% home made Tomato Sauce (Sugo).
