Based on extensive research, the World Health Organization, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada have concluded that vaccines do not cause autism.

Vaccines are extensively tested and manufacturers must submit scientific and clinical evidence to Health Canada demonstrating their vaccines meet safety, efficacy and quality requirements.

Getting your child vaccinated protects them and helps keep our communities safe. When it comes to your family’s health, lean on trusted medical experts, like your health care provider, to answer your questions and get reliable, scientific, evidence-based information.

Visit Canada.ca/health for health information that is supported by scientific evidence.

Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers and the second leading cause for smokers. It’s a colourless, odourless, radioactive gas released from the ground that can accumulate in your home, and if you don’t test, you won’t know it’s there.

Enjoy your Halloween treats and keep your smile healthy too!

Here’s how:
- Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.
- Spit, don’t rinse. After brushing, spit out the toothpaste but wait 10 to 30 minutes before rinsing, so the fluoride can keep working.
- Have treats with meals. Eating sweets as part of a meal is better than snacking all day. Teeth need breaks to recover.
- Drink plain water after eating. It helps rinse away sugar and acid.
